If you dont want to get your finger or hand dismembered by the leaf spring .. it is absolutely critical to have the truck off the floor before you start!! Just want to point that out.
Brave man not using an impact to break loose the shackle bolts...but maybe in TX you don't have the rust we do! It's amazing how much just leveling the trucks makes
Man your looks hella different, my bracket is facing down not up like your I guess Ill have to remove it and flip that to, thanks for the video def will help
Awesome 👌work just found this video only cause I saw the video with the 2in drop hangers. Doing a little research b4 I drop mine I have a 95 short bed cheyenne I hate the chevy rack I just wanna lower the back just did the front end a year ago not looking to mess with it right now I'm really in between the hangers or the shackles, the drop shackles look a little easier and faster
Does it not reduce rear shock travel by adding the drop shackles? A shock manuf told me if you add the drop shackles the rate of travel for the shock will be greatly diminished and thus will prematurely wear any shock out not designed for a 2" drop. Your thoughts?
I think there wrong on that cause your not changing the distance between your axle and shocks. Your changing the distance the leaf hanges down well the axle is attached under the leaf. Now if it was a flip kit I could see a big difference cause now you have the axle on top of leafs.
I’m with ya. 😂. I had to use everything I could get my hands on to get mine out the bolts been n for 28 yrs Rusty old bolts I don’t have a flame thrower glad I didn’t. It probably b n the middle of the yard as a bon fire an we would b cooking hot dogs 😂
What would you recommend to install on my 4x4 2018 Sierra want to drop the back just a little to be level with the front has factory stance so it’s inclined forward don’t want to lift front want to drop back end to level
I had a set of those on my single cab. They are real stiff for a single cab. Truck was too light and they actually kept the back raised about an inch. I had shackles already and looked stock height. Once I removed them, and replaced with belstein shocks I got the actual 2 inch drop of the shackles.
Thanks for the tutorial, I think you out the shackles on backwards, I think the opening in the shackle goes to the front! Not knocking your work just not sure you noticed that
