You better put your bunker 50 feet (minimum!) under the dirt or it’ll be a lame build just like this. This is too shallow, this isn’t going to protect them in a nuke war. I would even suggest 100 feet underground.

I’m curious. If there were a flood, would they still be safe if under say 15 Ft of water in a flood situation ?

Then those same people could use public records from multiple agencies who authorized the build, collect taxes, assure its safety... Unless You build it illegally off grid, hide it from gps sat images to avoid tax adjustments, its probably an insecure site.

The last video about 30 million dollar bunker said so many feet of ash will be on top of it if Yellowstone blows. That plus I remembered snow higher than out front door after Mt. St. Helens. So I think I want an upgraded air intake system that maybe does something like telescopes up higher. I think there are calibrators for all filter systems. It would be a procedure and a special designed cap that gives you a reading on it's display. Maintenance crews do it all the time in hospitals and such.

They are all tested when they are being built its been in other videos before.

You put the empty packaging in the same place from which it came. The space is not suddenly occupied by something new.

I mean empty packaging would be the least of my worries on that list. And sure I could put it back but there has to be a better option for long term solutions.

@@brandonbeckham8803 That probably depends on the reason and the length of stay for which you are building the bunker. During riots and natural disasters, you can take the trash outside with the necessary caution. In a nuclear incident, I see the problem as more of a psychological breakdown before waste becomes your main problem.

A bunker like this out in the desert could easily be 100 miles from any likely target. That means this just needs a few feet of dirt over it for fallout. Doesn't need to stand up to a blast.

Problem is your only seeing this part in the video they said a barn was being built on top of it so you will have the concrete floor of the new barn also on top of the bunker so it always looks the way it does.

The buyer pays for the digging. It is not included in the bunker price. Buyers make that decision. Plus if the hole gets too deep then the walls of earth around the bunker need room to expand out. It would not be safe to work in a hole that can avalanche on everybody. I bet digging costs go up exponentially the deeper you dig because you also go wider.

They are raising the ground level and placing a barn on top. 4 feet of dirt plus concrete is more than enough to protect from any radiation or fallout. These aren’t designed to take a direct blast, but to shelter from fallout radiation among other possible threats.

There is also power/energy to be concerned about - it's gotta be solar right? If it was a fuel powered generator, you'd also need a place for the fuel. Is there an estimated time limit to living in one of these?

What it depends on is the shape of the bunker, round culvert style can go the deepest up to 50’ but the square ones max up to ten with zero concrete on top

20 ft below ground will protect you from all Gamma radiation. All you need is deeper than 10ft. 40-50 ft deep is not doable many times as well due to the water table. It also is very costly even if the water table is below 50 ft deep. On top of that, the deeper it is the more climbing up and down you must do. It is physically demanding. 3ft deep will block out 90% gamma radiation. If you are concerned about direct impacts from missiles, good luck. Bunker busters can penetrate up to 200 ft of soil. Nukes much more. Asteroids or other objects from outer space even more. Also, low frequency ground penetrating radar can reach up to 100 ft deep. Who knows what other technologies can detect underground objects even deeper! Not sure why you would want to go deeper. It does not make sense to me.

They are bunker selling company. They have to have to sell fear to sell bunkers. I remember when prepper sites and builders were hyping up preparing for 12/21/2012. Nothing happened. If you live in tornado country, an underground shelter does makes sense though.

10 feet wide,50 feet long, per web site since I am guessing the series,probably 8+ feet high!
