Do you guys have any experiences with the automatic gear boxes for this 2,8t engines? Does it steal more HP then the manual? Does it shift too slow to give as fast drive as the manual? Is it as strong/reliable as the manual? Maybe not as fun to drive as the manual!!?? How is it to drive the automatic gear by manual shifting by the steering wheel shifter pads? I ask because I'm in plans about to build a kitcar with a 2,8t engine, and have never driven a 9-3 with those engines before.

Aye bet can't wait to see the vert get built and start gapping people left and right. I got a feeling that a lot more people are gonna want to run the vert since it's a two door and not a sedan. But man that is a clean car 😬👌
lol they’re gonna be in for a surprise 🤣. It’s a total sleeper. the sound of it might give it away but a lot of people gonna think it’s a stock car until they hear the wastegates open up 🤣
So, this might be the first NG 9-3 Aero vert big turbo, but a guy that used to work on my '06 9-5 Aero, he had a OG 9-3 vert with a big ass holset on it. It made ~500hp to the wheels and was scary fast on the highway. I rode in it a couple times, and it was worthless in 1st and 2nd gear, hell even 3rd gear @ 70mph it would still blow the tires off. It wasn't until you were in 4th going over 100mph where it really hooks up and just starts to freight train away. Even with a half cage in the rear seats, it was super sketchy lol.
I forgot to mention this was also about 10 years ago, and the guy parted out the build about 8 years ago unfortunately. If the body wasn't such a mess I was gonna buy it from him, but he was asking for too much for it in it's condition, even with the built engine.
