Very helpful, would have saved me a lot of time if 3 way installation was included with the Diva smart switch as I spent an hour trying to figure out why the 2nd switch no longer worked. I couldn’t find instructions on the product page either, only instructions for single pole. Would be helpful to add this video to the product page for others (unless I just missed it).

Same issue I had. Add in they don’t label the wires, just tell us what each one is??

Agreed, very helpful video but I wish the products came with schematics for 3-way in addition to single pole.

I just got mine. There’s a part in the included instructions that mentions replacing existing switch with the diva dimmer and adding a jumper wire to the second switch. Maybe it was added recently?

I am not sure if my led lights are dimmable, but I also really only need them at full brightness. Will this switch work with the lights if I leave the dimmer at full brightness?

Hello. I just purchased the Diva Smart Starter kit. I have two 3 way switches that go to a kitchen light. I changed out the first switch with the Diva dimmer wiring exactly as described early in this video. It works perfectly. I went to the second 3-way switch that's the original mechanical non-smart switch and it works without doing any rewiring as shown here with the yellow wire. What does this yellow wire accomplish if my lights work on the second switch without rewiring it? They go off/on just fine.

@@Lutron-Electronicsthat’s a lie. Whenever I call for assistance or just to have a couple of questions answered, I’m always routed to an agent who speaks 17% English with also a no patience having nasty attitude! And it’s always the same agent. Not only have I gotten his voice tone memorized, I can hang up immediately, call back, go through the automated system and still get connected with the same guy. So word of advice to anyone call for tech support, never call after 10pm CST cuz your call will be routed to a foreigner who doesn’t speak English and is rude af

Is it possible to have each outlet with a diva dimmer?

I have 5 switches controlling family room lights. Can I just but one diva and connect it on one of them and control the dimming and on and off with the app if I do the jumper on the other switches?

If I use my Caseta app to dim the lights, will the slider on the wall plate automatically/physically adjust accordingly?
@Lutron-Electronics

Hi, Ladd! The physical slider will not move along with the app.

If you use an existing mechanical switch with the diva will both switches be able to turn the lights on and off? The mechanical switch needs to remain always on for the diva to work?
@Lutron-Electronics
@Lutron-Electronics Год назад
Hi, Cameron! The mechanical switch does not always need to be left on. You will be able to dim by using with the Diva smart dimmer or turn on and off from the mechanical switch. When you flip the light on from the mechanical switch, it will go to the level of slider on the dimmer.

My existing wires are all the same color (black). On the existing switch, how do I identify the wire that I connected to the blue wire on the Diva?

Is the Accessory Switch any physical 3 or 4-way switch, or is it another Smart Switch? What is the Model number of the Accessory Switch? Thanks
@Lutron-Electronics
@Lutron-Electronics Год назад
The accessory switch would work with 3-way or multi-location (up to 10). You can learn more about the Claro Accessory Switch (DVRF-5AS) here: www.casetawireless.com/us/en/products/dimmers-switches

I successfully wired my existing 3 way switch and a Diva dimmer. But I wonder, is the jumper wire necessary? Could I have left my 3 way switch wired the way it was by the electrician who initially installed it? It had been on a 3-way with a regular dimmer prior to this. If the jumper is necessary, why is it?

@Lutron Electronics In your Advanced Installation Guide Page 44 says to connect the tagged wire to the Red wire on the Diva. In the video you connect the tagged wire to the black on the Diva. Can you connect the tagged wire to either the black or red?
@Lutron-Electronics
@Lutron-Electronics Год назад
Yes with the DVRF-6L you can connect the tagged wire to either black or red. Making sure whatever wire is on the red wire and the blue wire end up on the jumper together in the mechanical 3-way is key.
@Jarut
@Jarut Год назад
@@Lutron-Electronics So whatever wire you attached to the blue wire on the diva is attached to the brass screw on the mechanical switch. The tagged wire and remaining wire you put together with the jumper to the black screw on the mechanical switch?!?!
