I am impressed with how this looks. It’s different to visualize and then see it in reality. Absolutely blown away bro. I am stoked about seeing what will be coming next. GREAT JOB!
That's awesome Julian, well done from Melbourne Australia. One tip I have for you, if using the original steel tube vent lines, make sure they are 100% clear and not clogged. E.g, You can easily blow some compressed air from boot/trunk line all the way to Charcoal Cannister. And then check all the charcoal cannister lines and valves are ok. On my car (86 XJSC) I ended up bypassing the whole trunk tubing as it was completely clogged. Ran new pipe from tank to just under floor pan, forward of rear axle. Hope this helps. Nice work! =)
Your engine sound clips have inspired me to not just rip out my leaking v12 and do some boring electric swap but now to rebuild the v12... basically thanks for the inspiration to give myself a headache for next year or so minimum hahaha keep it up the solid work.. I might reach out to you.. also are you in Canada?? I'm about an hour from the GTA
@@garyt219ZZ502 is such a cool engine, but still a downer under the circumstances. The 5.3l can be taken up to 7.5L and stay reliable if built properly. Stock it may as well be a 12cyl British SBC or LS equivalent because they're easy, lazy, mean, relatively abundant, and VERY similar to an SBC in some ways internally. When the jag motors are straight, you'll never have a problem as long as you *_drive_* it and keep up on fluids and whatnot. Most problems with those engines are from sitting, or maintenance neglect. I and many others may have opinions and all may not be positive or nice. But rest assured in this case, there's no hate. To each their own. All real builds are cool, but not for everyone. If you like what you made, that's all that matters. Just keep rippin'!
I just removed the entire engine and transmission, I am getting ready to swap in the new engine and trans! I will be running a stand alone ECU. I can’t decide between a MegaSquirt 3 Ultimate or a Haltech 2500T. Both have advantages and disadvantages.
