You're living my dream, basically! I hope one day I can feel what it is to drive a Vr6 and actually own one. I really enjoy your work and clips! Cheers! :) 👍
3:28 Awwww "Duff"..the little bugger:)....Did the filter smell of "new" when you sniffed it?:)..I do that..force of habit from childhood..you can't beat the smell of "new"....
This is fun video. Just a guy enjoying his car. I love the sound of my vr6 too. Your hot start issue is a pretty common vr6 problem. I would start by looking at the coolant temperature sensor, (the blue one, the other runs your gauge) and also look into your fuel pump. There is a check valve that is known to cause restarting issues. Coolant temp sensor is my bet though since you’re seeing the problem with hot starts. Also worthwhile to take a look at your spark plugs. Vr6 engines are picky about them for some reason. I have had the best luck with NGK BKR5E plugs in a stock engine.
Hi. This sound is amazing 😁 I have to install one in my Bora 2.8 V6. You could provide the exact filter tag as the link in the description is not working. I have to order it to Poland.
BWTV You can make your own cuts or use like a Mercedes sprinter van fender vents to cut out and insert into your fender. I’ve had a vented fender on my Vr6 Jetta for a few years now.
Change the blue coolant temp sensor on the thermostat for the hard to start issue. If not sometimes crank sensor on the front of the block. Both cheap parts
Car sounds mint. The fault with your heater controls only working on 4 will more than likely be the heater resister. Should be easy to change and should be cheap.
Some foam filters require oil like ramair and some don't, they come pre oiled from the factory and need re oiling after cleaning, the filter will not filter properly without the oil, as for the oil from the filter damaging the maf sensor, that's a myth, when oiled correctly oil doesn't come off the filter, and even if it did it won't damage the maf as there is oil from the pcv system which gets into the air intake system and gets on the maf wires from time to time and may cause maf codes and bad running, a spray with some carb cleaner and it's back to normal.
I still haven't made one up, it performs okay without it but I've now made room for a cold air feed to fit into it, so might not bother with the shield
I bought a BMW 5 series 4 months ago, it has been stuck in the body shop for the past 3 months.. can you guys wish me good luck? Don't feel like I'm getting it back anytime soon. :(
@@ravenmaster6364 ok i have the 2.9 abv engine 92.with rubber intake and mechanical throttlebody. Could be sound difference these hard plastic intake tube sounds awesome
👍👍 mine is the AAA 2.8 but is bored to 2.9 by awesome gti many moons ago now. I thought the throttle bodies were all the same design with the exception being that the 2.9 rado motors had a bigger butterfly 👍. If you are running the standard Airbox have you tried removing the cone/trumpet at the front end? or taking off the blanking plate in the bay on the wing near the airbox ? I did this to mine and was reliably informed that it sounded like a tvr! 👍👍
@@ravenmaster6364 yes its a open filter big cone! Nice sound tho but not that loud prrrrt sound with full throttle! Think the difference comes from that electric throthlebody
@@sv_cheats1970 i dont know what a vento or sharan vr6 is im from the usa but you want to have the vr6 in the lightest chassis possible so if those cars weigh near 2800 pounds then id say those would work too
Yes, as the legend say that were only 1000 made :) I had Passat 35i VR6 and I was after this as well years ago but it worth to search as they come up for sale :)
Put ratom m 90 sc or vortech vice one is cheaper Cortex is east fiat and is spiral type so it suita better. I love corrado i bad a G60 1991 yellow. Hi from Split Croatia
Hey mate, this is the exact filter I used: www.ramair-filters.co.uk/shop/automotive/universal-cone-air-filter-automotive/proram-universal/large-proram-cone-air-filter-80mm-aluminium-velocity-stack-with-silicone-coupling/
Get rid of carbon filter, doesn't do anything anyway on 20+ year old car, route the inlet hose down through the hole and attach the filter there. Coldest air right behind bumper. Also amplifies the sound. Only negative is you have to be careful when driving around deep water
Ah Brad you have just ruined my night. Just sold my Corrado but put the old air box back on it to take it back to a bit of originality. Ah.........£500 nightmare.
The transit was pushing his to get a response out of me, I don't usually react to comments like these but you got me... Come for a drive and I'll let you feel what the power delivery is like
BWTV I thought It might , I love the sound of them it’s sick, I was behind one yesterday in my leon but he wouldn’t open her up 😢what power is the vr6 ?
Turbo spool sound on an NA car, nice...... Rofl. Two years from now you'll figure out that stock airbox is best for your engine and other than raspier sound you aren't getting anything, actually losing few BHP/torques. Been there done that mate.... You'll learn
If you've got proof of that I'll take it. If it's because it sucks in hot air, I'm already working on something like I said in the video, in 2 years the car won't be n/a anymore and will not need the standard filter. Cheers for the ad revenue 👍
