Just ordered this and received. Fitted it today, taken about 40 minutes and my car is RHD so can confirm it all fits fine. Layout is the same as LHD for this part at least. Nice sound improvement without being OTT. Reminds me of an old school VTEC
The sound in the cabin is alot better with a larger diameter end like a did with the v2 version. You get that deeper tone that matches throttle bodies.
I had to rewatch the video as I cant remember saying V2... still cant find it... haha... No the version in the video was the build together kit, I now supply it fully assembled with the nitrile membrane installed so that you don't have to, maybe its time to update the video.. Cheers! @@TheScottishDad
I watched your other video previously and I'm pretty darn sold. I'd love to purchase one of your kits. My only question would be, do you think this would also work the same way on an NC? Looks pretty darn similar. What's the best way to contact you with my information? Thanks.
Hi Mat, if the NC is the same as the ND, then yes, it "should" work, however as I don't have an NC I cant guarantee it... Apologies, I had my notifications turned off, you can now buy it on eBay or directly from me. If you have a look in the description of the video, you can find how. Cheers
hi, mate! i want to purchase this kit! how much does it cost with shipping to germany? it sounds great for me and it looks very professional and unspectacular under the hood.
Hi Mate, apologies, I had my notifications turned off, you can now buy it on eBay or directly from me. If you have a look in the description of the video, you can find how. Thanks tho, it took some time to make it, try it to get it right and get it looking non obtrusive...Cheers
I was just watching GT4RS videos and instantly I was like wait this sounds so much like that intake mod for the ND, this mod is so epic. I was thinking of an engine swap for some epic sounds to conplete the car and create the best thing ever, but looks like this intake mod will do the job. Since its lower pressure to the intake wont that mean slightly less power? Can you dyno the car? Also what problems can occur? Can u track it still and be fine?
Glad you like it, It will be fine on track, not sure why it wouldn't. I have been using mine for about 8 months with no dramas. Worse case if the glove fails, the engine management light will come on after a while (only when the air con is being used), which can be reset with a new glove and a obd clear. I haven't dyno'd it im afraid, I don't think it will make and more or less bhp for this mod. cheers
If the glove fails then the car will start "hunting" when the HVAC system is on. and then it will bring an engine management light on. Basically the engine needs the back pressure that the glove is doing as the "soundbox" has been removed. I haven't looked into any alternatives, but happy to have suggestions. thanks
Thanks Dave I just received my tube. How do you get access to the cabin area where the nut attaches to? Is it necessary? I’ve been running without so far.
Hi, Glad it got to you safe! Hopefully you got the instructions too? The best way I found was poking a tool through the hole from the engine side then go searching for it. I haven't fitted mine either, its only there as belt and braces! Hope you love the new noise!
Hi, the OEM style pipe is the one I have sold all across the world, the budget pipe is a cheap version, which is the same as another seller is now selling ( I think this is nasty personally ) this is the same for the end, you can have cheap plastic ( same as previous comment ) or the metal one that I designed and tested and have sold across the world. If your car has the sound tube on already, then the "no" for the 1.5 is the answer as you don't need the longer tube and the 90 degree adaptor. Hope this helps!
Hi, it's an interesting subject, I spent months getting it right (for me) I'm now tuning to improve for you guys. The glove has now been replaced by a membrane, however, the glove has been on my car for well over a year and still going strong... cheers!
Yes its an ND2 2.0. It will be fine on track, not sure why it wouldn't. I have been using mine for about 8 months with no dramas. Worse case if the glove fails, the engine management light will come on after a while (only when the air con is being used), which can be reset with a new glove and a obd clear. cheers
Hi, Dave! I'm waiting for a reply on my last 2 emails. I payed for the product and just a tracking number since then. Wanted to know how many days it usually takes for a shipping procedure. And I don't know if you send the product already...
Thanks for the message, the membrane is nitrile and if it splits (had mine on for over a year, no issues) then you would know straight away from the car hunting on idle. Only way it would be "sucked in" is if it wasn't fitted securely. Happy to explore other ideas, however its all about sound frequency passing through a non-pressure air barrier. Cheers
Still working perfectly for me. If the nitrile does fail, you will know straight away as the engine will start hunting at idle with the heating/aircon on..👍
@mark9351 no worries, send me an email, my address is in the description on the video and I'll sort it for you. Just sorted one to USA, whilst babysitting... haha...👍
@@davedoesit I checked it out partially. The bigger chamber is just hollow with a very thick plastic membrane. No idea what the smaller nodule closer to the firewall has inside it cause I don't wanna break mine in case I ever need it!
I don't think so, as it's held under the pipe by the clip. However, now I am fitting them to the adaptor. There is a chance the glove will split. However, you will know straight away as the engine will idle erratically.
Apologies, I had my notifications turned off, you can now buy it on eBay or directly from me. If you have a look in the description of the video, you can find how. Cheers
Hi, glad you got it safe, firstly apologies, the paperwork states mine is a lhd, it's not, it's a rhd. As for the nut, once you remove the oem tube put a screwdriver or simular through the hole, and look for it under the dash. Should be high up on the left. The nut then screws onto the end of the thread to secure. Did you not get the install document inside the pipe? Cheers!
@@Spitfire260193Oh No!!! I would double check as there is a 2 page A4 document coiled up slid into the open end of the pipe! Right, lesson learnt, I am going to do something different on future ones!
@@davedoesit thanks for letting me kmow will go and check shortly, also gonna change to a black glove rather than blue, would like nicer imo even when trimmed.
@@Spitfire260193Is this a glove that you fitted? Ah of course, you didnt see the paperwork. I have already fitted on onto the bulkhead fitting, so you didn't have to. The one fitted is green. Sorry about all the confusion, thanks for asking!!
Hey Leo, you can buy from ebay and message me on there, or you can get it directly from me. My email is on the Google document.. docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/17dOcd0xa-ay5HpG9JoGxwEW8beXg1Iqua4emlTe-6mc/edit?usp=sharing Cheers!
