Today I installed the first modification to the new T56 for my Chevy C10 I installed a Silver Sport Transmission mid-shift kit that can be found here if interested. www.shiftsst.com/stx-shifters... Video edited by @SpeedyBandit
Hey man after watching this video I bought this shifter same day lol, but I got the kit off Summit with the precut shaft. I have a T56 in a 99 silverado RCSB and I made the mistake of cutting a hole already for the original shifter, but it went right in the middle of where my center console sits lol. I had no idea these shifters existed so now I'm gonna feel like a fool patching the old hole and cutting another for this shifter, but based off my measurements it should sit right where the normal manual shifters would sit. Good video dude, cuz besides your video on it, there is no information on them honestly.
Nice work man, just picked up a nv3500 for my 69 c20 383. Can’t wait to try it out, I’ve been dailying a 91 k1500 with 4x4 nv3500 for a few years now, I tow daily with it, never had an issue. Best fluid for them in my opinion is the Ams oil syncromesh
I recently did this same kit It all went good but it still feels like it’s not hitting solid in the forward shifts When I pull it back I hear a bang like it’s fully bottomed out and the gear change feels good but when I go in forward gears it feels soft almost like it needs to go another 1/16” or something I’m gonna install it next weekend but I’d like to know if there is a problem staying in gear or anything before hand Here’s my install video Thanks for showing yours it helped me along the way ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-utM-D18kHOQ.htmlsi=emPByQD_0RPUd1W8
