I recently. Just bought this and it arrived form. I tally to Canada in 52 hours! I didn't realize that it protects from Condensation. But definitely a piece to complete the tft area. It was lacking.

Hey David, Just curious but would the 125 duke have some form of restriction in place or can you advise on what to look out for that could restrict the power, top end or general performance?. I have changed the gearing to 15-42 with a top end of 75 mph in 5th. The 14-45 would hit 65/67 however i feel it has a bit more potential. Can you advise please

The restriction is that it's a 125 - it has a limited amount of torque and the greater the speed, the greater the air pressure you need to overcome - with 15-42 I would guess sixth gear is going to struggle. I've seen tests where 14-48 gave a little more top speed over stock with a 125 for this reason.

Thanks. They are generic ones, I think Oxford sell them but you can buy them elsewhere. They aren't great and I had to mod them a bit. I'm still looking for something better.

Hello, I just bought a 2018 Duke 390 with only 400 miles. Will the Rapid Bike EVO be sufficient for me with just a few mods? Currently it has an Akrapovic exhaust with the baffle removed. Want to do the airbox and maybe 1 or two more things down the line. Not looking to race or anything so I dont want to do maps. Thanks for any insight you can give. I do not want the bike to blow up though running lean.

Hi, Evo will cope with small changes through to much bigger changes than you are proposing and will adjust as you add each mod.

Wow, I need this! I noticed some condensation inside of my tft after going up some mountains. I was very disappointed. As soon as I got home, I put a lot of oxygen absorber packs on top of it.

Unfortunately this can happen with TFTs, but it isn't unique to TFT's. Pressure changes going up and down mountains is likely to draw air into the unit.

I submitted a warranty claim for it with KTM. Let’s see how it goes and if they do replace the tft I hope I don’t ever see condensation on it again. I also hope to have a good customer service experience with KTM because if they deny my claim I will not be happy as this happened under normal circumstances of me enjoying a ride up the mountains. Definitely a quality issue with tft that neeeds to be covered under warranty. Keeping my fingers crossed.

@@rolan2dr I wish you luck with that, but from what I've seen it's luck of the draw - these have not been waterproof since they were first fitted in 2017 and KTM has not yet resolved this. However, bike instruments have almost never been sealed - my 98 Sportster has 2mm holes in the back of the instruments - right where they are hit by water as you ride and they aren't even drain holes as the water would need to be half an inch deep in the back of the instruments before it would start to drain.

Mine is new and today when i was riding in higher ground early on the morning with fresh weather the condensation apperead on the two corners of TFT. 15/20m after everything went to normal. Because of this ordered my TFT cover from Materya today and i think this issue will be solved for good.

Hey I want to modify my Duke 390 and put a slip on exhaust and run without the db killer and an air box mod every thing else is stock (cat+ pre silencer) my question is can I use the rapid bike easy ecu for that mod or because of the air box I need the rapid bike evo?

You might want to consider the FuelX Lite. The Easy might cope but you have to manually adjust it so it can be a bit fiddly, the FuelX is a good price and it autotunes - but probably not as well as the Evo.

@@theyellowjello5883 Yes, it will help with the jerkiness but it will not remove it because that is part of the engine design - KTM did not expect people to ride at low revs - those people buy Honda. It will adjust for all mods but to be honest, I'd recommend a full piggyback like the EVO for multiple upgrades.

Unbelievable, you had to put extra protection to have bike that you can ride in the rain !? Or is it just for looking great? I am even more concern about cleaning the bugs in the TFT heatsink...will it stand a high pressure washing?

You don't have to do anything, I've ridden the bike for years in the rain without. Condensation in speedo units is common in bikes with unprotected units and has happened for the last century. Yes, it will withstand high pressure washing, but generally a bad idea to do around things like electronics hence condensation found in some units.

@@MotoMirius last century condensation in speedo unit was not a problem. Mechanical gauges are not so sensitive. But I thought electronic instruments were at least as waterproof as diving computers...Very surprising to me...but I am a last century rider:-)

Condensation in TFT's . We didn't get that with Cathode Ray Tubes .. Imagine that, a Toshiba Blackstripe bolted to your handle bars ! Well that's alienated 99% of your audience . They're all googling CRT and Toshiba 😅 Peace and love brother 👍🏻☮❤

You crack me up. I had to replace the back of the Harley tacho because it had rusted so much from the water going in the vent hole in the back - oddly half an inch up so it doesn't drain? Mind you as it was 3mm steel I could have just sanded it down!

I'm very tempted by the adventure, but I know I will miss the Duke - not sure I can justify both. But as I just posted on my channel there may be a supermoto version in the future which should bridge the gap nicely.

It’s so hard to get a Duke 390 right now. No dealers in my area have it and barely any on the used market, it has a huge markup here in US. I bought my Duke when I lived in the U.K. but crashed it.

I’m tempted to get an 890 R or GP. Not sure I’m ready due to riding skills. Plus I’m concerned about 890 reliability have heard about engine leaking issues.
