Handy tip to get the sound u want is to drill small holes in the baffle to increase volume little by little. It is a slight mutilation to the baffle but only noticeable if you go in close. On my gilera runner st 200 it was too quiet, baffle out waaaay too loud so I drilled 3 1/2 cm diameter holes and it was perfect. Just upped the volume to my a level I was happy with. To repair if it is too loud is patch on the inside with a little sheet metal.
is it true that its better to upgrade first the variator kit before the exhaust for better performance, and just upgrading ur exhaust only wont make any difference
Awesome video! Trying to drop the exhaust down pipe from a Piaggio MP3 500 Sport but cannot access the two nuts in the same way as this video, even trying to wiggle in from the side. It just doesn’t allow access like shown here. Does anyone have any experience of this and can tell me if I need to remove something to access these two nuts? Pleeeeeease!
Do you need a piggyback for it? I kept hearing rumors (from the local shop) that aftermarket exhausts would screw up the O2 sensor if you went with the stock ECU
@@Farie977 gue juga udah beberapa hari pakek knalpot racing ada nembak tapi sedikit ga signifikan. trus nanya ke forum forum malah di takut takutin lambda rusak, padahal kaga napa napa. paling next nambah open looper kalau dibutuhin.
Yes, this is a bolt on pipe. The scooter will automatically adapt to the new exhaust when you start it up. Of course there are aftermarket tuning options you can do to get more out of the pipe.
i do the same thing for nothing, with a 5 mm drill bit; i drill one or two holes on the exhaust pipe as it enters the muffler,(pipe is thicker, there) almost facing the ground, and ...booooommm....beautiful sound, i have now an akrapovinicius exhaust,or whatever the name is; holes are easy to plug and unplug with 1/4 in or 6mm hex head short sheet metal screws, and this way i adjust the sound .
you do know that's dangerous for your bike, a quality exhaust like an akrapovic doesn't just give you the sound,it gives your way more, there is a big difference in an exhaust and just putting a hole in the stock one
@@getrektlol5055 I doubt that the akrapaupers know better that the scooter factories; and on top of that, the noise is illegal in lots of places and on others the scooter can get sent to an inspection to measure the decibels; not to mention your neighbours.... and the pleasure of a modern, quiet, civilized, scooter ride is lost ; i put a band clamp over the 2 drilled holes long ago. edit: you'd need to change to a BIGGER diameter exh pipe, and any cheap one would do, if you upgraded your carb to a bigger one, or your injection, your filter, performance cam, worked and polished the cyl.head paths etc ; but the money spent and the Akrapronix sticker make some feel better, even felling it faster, but sometimes, short os a full racing prep, noise is just noise; The math formulas give us an ID of 23mm for a 125cc, and 27.6mm for 150cc for instance; this at 7500 RPM, other RPMs,proportional; it does not matter if Akraponis or Akrapovishet, for 4T it's size, inside diameter.
see if the shocks are adjustable, you can increase preload, or get some new shocks and ned forks / put a stronger spring in them (ik this is kinda late, but i hope it helps )
regular exhaust have smaller tips, where you cant utilize the power output.. if you have bigger mufler, output will be better.. but not to big.... oh, the sound too
