I think you nailed it. That overflow pipe will work so long as it dont get blocked up with big chunks of debris.. Looks good.

That worked out really nice. Can't wait to see the bridge put into place.

That was a cool little project and that trencher worked out great. 👍👍 I think initially you were worried about water going around the pipe underground if the trench was too wide. I've seen people will take a few bags of concrete on the pond side of the pipe and create a concrete collar to prevent that. I don't think you'll have that problem though. Take care.

Good call on using the trencher. It was much faster and easier than the backhoe, and the backfill dirt was better to pack in around the pipe, compared to big bucket clods. Good to see you making progress, can't wait for more!

@RockhillfarmYT 2 года назад
Yeah, that whole process was a lot smoother than I was expecting and I think the key was using the trencher. Like you said, it just made it a cleaner process Thanks for following along

Another great video! Now I have to get busy myself. I've got a lot of firewood to process and it's not going to process itself.

Good job Brock! That skid steer is getting a lot of use. I don't know why I was amazed you had a transit. Maybe because a few years ago they were pretty; I'm not sure what they cost today but in that line of work they are a very handy tool.
@RockhillfarmYT
@RockhillfarmYT 2 года назад
I believe it cost $500 for the transit level but I probably saved $5000 by doing the grading work on the Quonset Hut instead of hiring it out so a transit level and a plate compactor made sense

Makes sense to me. Looks like it would work great! But where was your work double? lol

Personally Brock, I think running that 6” trench blade side by side worked quite well! Back when I worked in Hollywood we called that “Learn while you earn!” (Trying something new) - but I don’t think you earned anything. LOL. Oh well! Something learned! --J.Andre.

Yeah, when I went outside with the camera I have no idea how I was going to dig it but that worked great

Brock might not have earned in this job…. But he sure saved on it by doing it himself. My grandparents always said… it’s not how much you make… it’s about how much you save. ( they were newlyweds during the “Great Depression”.

No seep collar on the pipe? What are you going to do if water leaks around the pipe?

What would an 8” blade cost. You would have it for other jobs if needed.

I really fell like you need something to do. You just seem to have sooo much free time on your hands. If you could just somehow find a task or chore that needs to be done. JK. Don't know how u do it. Thanks for the vid.
