I don't know at this point, I need to investigate it, but my guess is not since you need to have the OS running on SD/eMMC to get the CB2 running. So you burn the OS on the SD card, than you clone the OS from the SD card to the eMMC. At this point you do not need the SD card anymore. Without the OS you cannot operate the CB2. Having the eMMC onboard is way better than having the SD card, they get corrupter all the time and they are slow. Tbx for the comment pls subscribe!
Or maybe if you power the board from the power connections, and see if a USB cable connected to your computer detects the eMMC as a Memory/HardDrive/SDcard (of course without having sd cards inserted in the board) and than been able to make the first installation of the OS on the eMMC. Have no idea it would work.
@@DynoRC It should be ok to burn the os on the 8Gb. Check this ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ux4e5BvV_7A.html It shows that the OS is taking 15% of 29Gb so an 8Gb should be enough. You can just test it by burn the downloaded image into the SD card using the Balena/Raspberry software. It will tell you if it's enough. IF it works than you clone it to the eMMC as shown in the video.
