In this video I show how to finish the Bow Navigation and Stern Anchor light including the final wiring. I start the video as a continuation of the last video that I uploaded on the Classic Montauk 17 restoration, • How To Install Bow Nav... .
I found a really neat distribution box very similar to the ones Boston Whaler originally used for the bow and stern lighting. See below for link to that. One thing I notices is that the rope guides (Bollards?) on the bow light are cocked rearwards. The best I can figure out is that this is not the original as the light assembly is resting on the inner 2 pieces of the bow rail, causing it to sit at an odd angle. I'll trim away the rub rail at some point so it sits flush. You can see this clearly at (4:02).
One last note, I used marine grade wiring (stranded, individually tinned) wiring on all the wiring on this project and heat shrink protected crimp terminal connectors wherever possible to prevent corrosion in the future.
Here are Paid Affiliate links to some of the items I used in this video:
Distribution Box: amzn.to/3X94LcD
Wire Nuts: amzn.to/43EMNkV
Marine Triplex Wire: amzn.to/3CAipMp
Perko Light: amzn.to/45YCHgp
Note, I just used the pole and light, not the perko mounts
SAE Cable and Connector: amzn.to/3J9FlFZ
Crimp Tool
Heat Gun (Similiar)
Klein Cable Lubricant: amzn.to/3WTXywV
Masons Twine: amzn.to/45LnEq1
14awg Marine Wire amzn.to/43GP7ra
14 Gauge was overkill, I really could have used 16 or 18 gauge. Especially since I use led lighting.

If you are still seeing this Jose, how did you get the wire you ran down the side up to the light in the front of the boat?

There was a hole already there (front to back) so I poked the wires into the hole and then used a needle nose pliers to grab it and pull it up.

how do you change the bulb on the bow light, 2005 Montauk there is no access from the bottom and no visible way to remove light only two small screws on the sides where the lens is that doesn't do a thing when removed

the two screws should let you remove the top. Perhaps it's corroded together?
