As part of my channel I buy and sell cars as ahobby ,I bought this 2015 Mercedes GLK last week and owner had the car serviced before selling to me..(new spark plugs and 1 coil pack) he was meeting me at his local bank and CEL light came back on ..had checked again and another coil pack was no good..so I bought a set of coils and just replaced the other 5..as of today and 200 miles no issues with coils..knock on wood lol

The dealership just replaced my 6th coil and all the spark plugs on my 2013 glk 350 for $1200. If they all should have been replaced at the same time, I really wish they had told me. Im going to choke if my car throws up the same code again.

@@ambergravel1010 yeah coil packs are expensive ! Especially from the dealership..I bought mine from 1A Auto for about $275 for all 6 I think I might wrong I don't have my paperwork in front of me..Previous owner took the car to independent shop for the spark plugs and 1 coil pack cost $900 I believe -you have a friend that can help you on the next coil pack job?

You don’t mention that all the bolts on the coil packs have a male star head requiring a female star head socket and the spark plugs are 12 point requiring a 14mm thin wall 12 point socket. The Germans really don’t want you working on your own MB. I own a 2015 ML350 and am going through the same coil pack failure issue
