Hey James. Had a question for you. I want to install my fusion active enclosure sub into my gen 4 legacy mcintosh system. Can I just splice rca cables into the existing sub wires and then disconnect 1 cable off factory one so they arent sharing the source?
your fusion active sub should have high level input so you just splice into the sub output from factory amp. or from speaker outputs on factory amp. for your source. just remember to cut the wire going to factory subwoofer.
Changing the name of a product is a marketing ploy. If they saw a slight down tic in the sales of the "Type R" they rebrand to "R Series". This gives the illusion of a new product and drives interest and therefore drives sales.
