Just removed X1 bumper. Replaced the one-time use rivets with normal reusable body panel connectors on the fender flares. Way easier next time!

This car came with those finder flares. The plastic Rivits are from the dealer. They’re sold individually.

Would a regular pop-rivet gun work with the nylon rivets?

I don’t believe Iv’e tried that. It’s worth a shot. For plastic Rivets I’ve always used the plastic rivet tool. Harbor freight sells one that comes in a kit the looks very Much like the BMW special tool.

once u get all of the plastic rivets out. you'll just have to firmly pull it off. on some of them got to put a lil muscle in there to get it off.

The Rivits from the dealer, u can get the tool from harbor fright.
