Awesome vid man. I have a 2020 Civic Sedan Sport 2.0 N/A and i was on the fence about this and the catted front pipe. But this definitely gave me a reason to get them. Thanks brotha!
We own a 2020 Civic Sport with a 6 Speed manual and the K20C2 engine I really like this chain driving dual overhead camed engine It gets 37.4 MPGs on average at 12,000 in miles now, I know if you Gramma drive it you can do even better but of course I instead stay with normal traffic flow because I like others have places to go in a timely fashion🤑 I am planning on Ktuning it as well with some exhaust flow upgrades to see if the fuel mileage increases at all if not it's not a big deal to me because 37+mpg isn't bad for a almost Accord sized larger car, Over a say 2005 civic ex special edition automatic that also still runs and we daily drive gets 39 MPGs at 70+ Mph, With a single cam 1.7L engine it has 212,000 miles on the original engine and automatic trans, I did the head gasket around 200,000 miles now trouble free used an ASIN timing belt kit with the water pump of course.
What is been your experience driving the car for a while after installing the Ktuner? I am planning on getting it before I do any mod, I want to see if I get the benefit of the ktuner without any other crazy mod( downpipe, cold air intake)I'm afraid these changes might keep it from passing inspection. I'm driving the same model as yours, your videos give hopes to N/A engines.
Hey, I own a Civic Lx 2.0 non turbo. I’ve been searching how many HP I can get with the Ktuner on stock 2.0 engine but only get the results of the 1.5T
Awesome vid. The only thing stopping me from doing this to my civic, is I'm afraid of it the battery dying out on me when I'm doing the flashing part. Looks pretty easy otherwise.
If you have a battery charger or can get somewhere where you can access one then it won’t be an issue. I’ve done multiple programmings on cars and as long as the battery has been charged it’s usually not a problem. It’s not gonna draw enough battery for it to die out while your doing the flashing.
@@fonzysgarage7857 thanks for the info bro. Just one thing to add, you should also change the settings for throttle response, just click on quick adjustments and then click on improved throttle response II. That makes a difference too.
@@martinbasha1267 I’ll definitely check it out. I been planning on actually going to get a custom tune at a shop with a dyno so I might just wait till then bcuz the tune that KTuner comes with only brings down the vtec a bit and helps with a cold air intake. So technically I’m not getting all the gains I should be getting with the other lil mods I got like downpipe and mufflers and stuff.
It’s definitely worth it! I have a 16 lx and it feels amazing, I’m planning on getting a cold intake soon and a down pipe since it’s too quiet for me. Do you plan on switching the stereo to like a android touchscreen?
I thought about that but I really haven’t felt like it’s worth doing at the moment. Might do it next year once I tackle all my ideas I have set right now. And yeah man get the intake and Downpipe they’re worth it and you’ll see some power gains for sure! KTuner without those mods won’t give you its full potential.
Bro I just got it and installed, it’s great but honestly even tho I disabled my rev hang I feel like that didn’t change for crap. 😕 it still has hella rev hang, is it the same for you?
Because the car is so modern, it didn’t make much of a difference but it at least made a lil bit of a difference. It had way more rev hang before on mine. Maybe try redoing the tune if you feel like it didn’t change at all
Forsure thanks for responding brotha. I’m really interested in getting a custom tune now but not sure where to go aha do you have any idea how much it can run on price?
@@Securitytips909 custom tunes can go anywhere from $150-$500+ depending on where you go, how good of a tuner they may be, and if they use a dyno or not
It should be. Regardless you have to contact a KTuner dealer (which you can find on the KTuner website) and you tell them you want KTuner for you “year, make, and model” and they’ll send you the exact one you need.
@@fonzysgarage7857 in my place we dont have 91. The highest here are 93 so do you think 93 will be fine? How bout 89 octane? Because we have 87,89 and 93
@@gamehopper111 for 93 I’m not sure tbh but for E85 you will need a flex fuel system for sure. If you get flex fuel you can most likely run any fuel. Plus E85 will give you more power as well if you get a custom tune
For a manual transmission, if you were drag racing from a dig, having that low 2 step will prevent you from spinning your wheels so much when you dump the clutch
You have to contact a authorized dealer that works with KTuner. If u go on the ktuner website you can find all the dealer locations and you can call, tell them ur year, make and model and they can ship it to you. I went with Bisimoto from like Beverly Hills I believe and the shipped within a week for free.
I was looking for cars on Paul Blanco and ran into it. It was in Stockton and I had it shipped to a Bakersfield location where I live. Pretty easy process tbh took about 3 days for the car to come and they repaired any cosmetic damages It came with for free.
Mine is the N/A 2.0 so idk too much about the turbo models but I have seen some videos of them with KTuner and they seem to have really great results. I’d recommend it for sure👌🏼
