Just an update for anyone watching this video, I installed these lights and made this video over 10 months ago and the lights still work flawlessly! Definitely worth the money IMO. They have been through a lot of abuse and a lot of winter plowing as well... and i have washed my tractor with a pressure washer many times since and shoot right at them with pressurized water and they still look like new.

Awesome man I’m glad to hear that! These road shock lights are awesome, I think I paid $19 each for mine at the time.. I made this video like 2.5 years ago and they are still on my tractor and still working perfect.. Iv pressure washed right at the lens before too and Iv never gotten water inside of them.. the lens is still just as shiny and clear as they were when they were new.. VERY good quality lights 👍🏻

Great job! This is a much cheaper way to add ditch lights and the quality is just as good. I am considering a cab for my bx tractor too. I have seen the one you referenced which is definitely cheaper than most. I did find a company that makes a steel removable cab, which is ideally what I want but the cost is around 5000.00. Probably suffer without any cab this year then decide on something next year.
@BiffsEquipment
@BiffsEquipment 4 года назад
MaineOutdoors thanks man! Yah orange tractor cabs.. you can’t beat the price for a quality hard top cab.. The cab your thinking of I believe is Kurtis.. they make nicer quality hard cabs but they do cost between 4-5k which I won’t spend that kind of money for just winter comfort because I know I’ll be ripping it off come spring lol. From what I have heard tho people Really like kurtis cabs
@maineoutdoors8227
@maineoutdoors8227 4 года назад
I don't think the Kurtis cabs can be removed, which I want that option. Does look like a good quality cab though. The one I am talking about is made by ATV Cabs. Here is a link to a video of how it is installed. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-nhSQsTezSRQ.html. Looks easy which I like too. I didn't really want to spend that type of cash either, but plan to have the tractor for awhile so might talk myself into it lol.

Haha thanks buddy! This video was made back when I first started my RU-vid channel, unfortunately the white dog you saw in this video has passed away, he ended up having random seizures one day that gradually got worse a few years later and I had to put him down.. it really sucked he was my best friend. I do have a new dog now who shows up a lot in my newer videos, he’s a black pitbull, my old pit was the white one. Thanks for watching!

Very cool! They have been fantastic LED lights for the money, they are still just as bright and in jist as good condition years later and have never gotten any water/moisture in them.. and I have stuck my pressure washer right on them multiple times to clean them since I’ve installed them and have even smashed them against trees and stumps lol.

I’ve read on some Kubotas there are work lights wires wrapped up in blue tape on the back left side of the tractor. I need to see if it’s on my BX. Might be useful if you want the lights to turn on with the key.
@BiffsEquipment
@BiffsEquipment 3 года назад
Are you talking about a factory auxiliary plug for Kubota add-on lights? I do believe there is a plug somewhere back under the rear fender near the rops that you can tie into, I can check sometime and let you know
@jrsmyth9761

Can you help me understand how/when you would you these? Seems like any front mounted attachment would block the light.
@BiffsEquipment
@BiffsEquipment 4 года назад
Tom Thumb you would use them just like any other light.. the attachment would partially block then when down but the purpose is so when you raise the loader and it blocks your main headlights then you would still have lighting down below from the ditch lights so that you do not loose all your lighting. Also they can be turned outward off to the side and would work as “ditch lights”...as the name suggests you would have light out to both the left and right sides of your tractor for better lighting for plowing in the winter and other similar tasks. Lastly when the loader is off the tractor it is excellent for late night or at dusk tasks such as using a grader box late into the evening or even mowing your lawn

Getting some for my jeep.....question....can i run 2 in front and 2 in back? Same setup? 2 switches?
@BiffsEquipment
@BiffsEquipment 3 года назад
You can do this, you will need to buy a second harness kit though to make it all plug and play though from what I remember.. And just be sure that when you do add more lights to the same switch and relay if you go that rout that you increase the size of the inline fuse that your using according to the manual that comes with the kit. These lights are now over a year old and still function perfectly.. I pressure wash right over them and never got water in them either. I am VERY pleased with these lights they have not given me an ounce of trouble. Hope this helps!

What size hole did you drill in the dash for the switch?

You’re right about the factory headlamps reflecting off the bucket. Very annoying. I’m doing this asap. Thanks for the video. Rg Paul Short….watched many of his videos. He’s The Godfather of BX mods and made them popular. You could say you are the spawn of Paul.
@BiffsEquipment
@BiffsEquipment Год назад
Haha thanks man, that’s quite the compliment. Paul short is a good man and has come up with a lot of amazing mods for the BX. I mention Paul short in my fuel filter mod video as well and what nice brackets and fuel bowl protectors he makes. As for the lights this was one of the first tractor mod videos I ever uploaded to RU-vid and the lights are still on my tractor and still work amazing. I have pressure washed them with 2500psi of water many many times to clean them and have knocked them Off of wood. Stumps, and even rocks , the most damage I ever did to one was bend the bracket which I easily bent back.. I have never had one get water in it or quit working. I plan to add 2 more of these pod lights soon but my next ones will be going up on the ROPS as I plan to make a new updated video soon for connecting them all to the same switch that I installed during this video. Having the lights down low is awesome.. it’s really nice for plowing also and moving material at night with your bucket.. no more blocking your main headlights and not seeing where your going.. I think these lights would couple super well with some ROPS lighting too which is why I finally Plan to add more lights in the near future. Best of luck!

The relay, I can install anywhere? Does not affect anything? I m just scared to put anywhere and have a problem later....
@BiffsEquipment
@BiffsEquipment Год назад
You can stick the relay anywhere you choose to.. wherever fits it the best .. I chose to put mine under the dash, just be sure to keep it in a location to where it’s somewhat easy to acsess incase you ever have to replace the relay you can get to it.. other than that it don’t matter where it goes or how you mount it.. you can even zip tie it to the existing wiring harness if you’d like. Best of luck!

Great looking lights. I bought mine online at Wal-Mart and they are very similar including the wiring kits. Could you send me a link for those LED headlights. I have a 2020 BX 1880 and I'm pretty sure they are the same as your tractor.

How can you wire multiple to the same switch without adapters?
@BiffsEquipment
@BiffsEquipment 10 месяцев назад
You would have to cut and slice with out the proper adaptors and join them together yourself
@truthdefenders-
@truthdefenders- Год назад
I would have mounted them forward more to be flush with the frame so you don't loose your flood effect being blocked by the frame.
@BiffsEquipment
@BiffsEquipment Год назад
I would have but then I would have had to drill holes in my tractor frame which I didn’t like the idea of drilling holes in a very expensive tractor just for some very inexpensive lights but that being said the flood lights or “ditch lights” as I like to call them do a great job of providing light when the bucket is blocking the factory head lights. They also help me to attach my implements at night or during the winter they allow me to see off to the sides of my plow and pushbox so they have certainly done their job and it was a very easy install. It’s been 3 or so years since I made this video and the lights still work perfect. I have never had a single issue with them since the install
@truthdefenders-
@truthdefenders- Год назад
@@BiffsEquipment Yup, I got that after I had made my comment. And the idea of mounting lights on the canopy was perfect so no need to do what I suggested. Thnx for the reply.
