Thanks for this video, Sean. I've still got to install Micro-Trains couplers on all my Kato locos that didn't come with them already installed. This video should be very helpful. . ...Roy
Hi Roy thank you so much for your comment I’m so glad you got to see the video I really appreciate it hope all is well hope you have a great weekend😀😀😀
I have found that on some Kato units a 2004 works very well for accurate height but on SOME a 1015 gives a correct height. Sorta like a trial and error.
Hi Abel I know exactly what you mean I have locomotives exactly like that as well thanks for watching and thanks for your comment 😀 have a great weekend 👍
Thank you for doing this video. I requested it as well because the video I saw on installing micro trains couplers involved cutting with a scapel like knife ..I think I will give it a try thanks to your video.
Hi Alan you’re so welcome I wish I could’ve got it out sooner for you but yeah no scrapple or no X-Acto blade or anything like that if you can’t get the Cupler to fit in you just put the locomotive shell up to your mouth and yawn into the area where the coupler has the fit somehow the moisture and warm air somehow expands the plastic or something like that but it helps works every time you might have to yawn into it a few times until it finally goes in 😀 thanks for watching 👍
As always my Brother you make it look so easy And the BNSF looks great on the layout and man do I enjoy Watching your trains run Keep them coming with the helpful hints and ideas and looking forward too the next video. Have a great weekend my Brother.
Those couplers can be tricky I don’t install them right all the time and I’ve had that Amtrak for quite some time I just need to bring it out more and run it so you guys can enjoy it as well as me thank you for the comment i’m sorry for the super late reply😀
@@seanpacificrailroad3700 more like need to do some work, try not to train so much lol! My work is mostly driving right now. Looking at beautiful mountains and trees and when I’m home doing laundry, tree experiments on the layout. Getting a couple steamers that decoders have failed repaired next. I can only do drop or plug in decoders. Hard wire scares the shit out of me!
Great video, I need to install new couplers on one of my UP Heritage cars, one of them came with a faulty coupler, I bought a pack for the car but it was in pieces, I’d prefer a coupler that is complete or better yet a complete new truck, a lot easier to install
