Installing New Rocker Panels On The Square Body Crew Cab! - Vice Grip Garage EP95

What started off as an attempt to replace the floor with a new drop-in floor pan, turned into completely rebuilding the rocker panels on this 1974 Chevrolet C20 Crew Cab, affectionately known as the cat farm crew cab. It's not a fun chore, but a guy just needs to get it done. Once the rockers and floor are finished, we'll be moving onto the LS swap!

The tires are made by a company called Hankook (actually pronounced Hahn-gook). Those are made in Korea, where I've been living for a total of 25 years now. In fact, the word "Hankook" is the Korean word for Korea. They're a high-quality tire. I just discovered your channel a few weeks ago and I instantly fell in love. I appreciate your fine humor, depth of mechanical knowledge, can-do attitude, easy-going character, wonderful family, and patriotic spirit. Keep up the great work you are doing. 11:53. Easy way to get perfect seams for welding is have your panel a little long on the ends so it overlaps the old. Get your panel lined up and square and clamped in place, then take your cutoff wheel and cut through the new and old panel at the ends. Remove the cut old panel pieces and your new panel will perfectly butt against the original metal. Then just weld in place and finish as usual
