Installing new Trails from Zero Geofront patch to the PS VITA version! What an improvement

Geofront has released their new english patch for the PC version of The legend of heroes trails from Zero. But wait, there's more; a brand new VITA patch is available that provides the geofront translation!!
Lets get it installed and test it out. This is a crude guide and a first look.

Patch has been updated to V5. The link to my repatch folder has been updated so you will need to redownload my folder from the link to upgrade to V5.

Thanks for posting this video for the team. Its awesome for everyone to see. I am also the guy who posted the folder for people to use. I also wanted to note that this team is different than the ones who made the original patch for the vita.

@@TechGuyBeau Thanks! Disclaimer people might encounter as noted in the post some text moving out of the box or various other bugs. This version of the patch is quite far along but its not totally completed yet. We are working on it though!

I'm so excited for this 😬 I hope PS Vita version of Azure gets the same treatment when Geofront finishes up that project. As far as I'm aware that's the only one that doesn't have an English patch of any kind for the Vita

Its worth noting that there is now a Zero no Kiseki Kai patch for the Switch. This includes updated textures, font, and portraits, a turbo mode, and other improvements

Both my switch and vita are modded, right now im trying to get zero evo patch to work, since I have FC,SC and 3rd,it makes more sense to have them all together lol, but ill try installing the switch one too

I was wondering, after successfully running the game patched, do I still need to have the patch files inside the repatch folder? Or is it safe to delete already?

The patch clashes with the Ref00d plugin.Anyone having trouble installing make sure the Ref00d plugin is disabled. Thanks for the video!

i patched the v4 and it works by following your guide, but when i tried it with the latest V5 patch, it didnt. Do you know how to fix this?

Try redownloading from the same link. Think I had some issue with V5 upload and the reupload seemed to fix it for people.

Hoping they do a patch of Ao No Kiseki Evolution. I already platinumed the early Zero patch on Vita, and played Ao patch on PSP.

@@younggamer4281 Not perfect, but very much playable. A couple of spots where the text goes outside the text box. Some translation issues, but nonetheless you can understand the story.

Hello before my question I just want to say thank you and everyone who is working on this for making the world a better place. so I downloaded the patch from the link provided and i have the game on my vita and erased the old patch the game had once i downloaded and placed the patch on repatch just as you instructed in the video and downloaded all the plugins needed when i open my game is still not translated i spent hours trying to figure out what i am doing wrong please help and thanks again

Are you sure you have the Japanese version of the game, not the Chinese one? Double Check the game folder name itself matched the patch

@@TechGuyBeau no i figured it out it was a mistake on my end I forgot that I had a folder called VPK on my uxo folder and it had re-patch and some other inputs on it that should not have been there and have only existed in the uro folder took me all weekend to figure this out haha thank you so much for replying

Do you get a turbo function this way? If the turbo doesn't work then I woukd rather play the pc version

Turbo is available while on battle (you have to keep pressing the circle button)

There is a new switch version patch which has turbo mode built in, if you want portability and turbo mode.

Best version of zero no kiseki is the vita version hands down but considering how getting a vita nowadays is not that common you can also play the second best version which is PC even tho the psp, ps4 and switch versions are also great they lack in comparison to the vita and pc versions

Agreed. There is no wrong way to play it, even on PSP. If you can snag a vita though its a great way to go.

followed the guide, and I still get error C1-6703-6) i assume repatch works cause my sky trilogy evo works, I have the japanese game with the update 1.1

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i fixed it, my issue was my plugins were a total mess, since im a modding newb, i just deleted and re-installed some plugins mixed and match now works perfectly

I’m having an issue starting the game. Do all the folders go into repatch? I.e. data.psarc

You download the Repatch folder and drag it into your own Repatch folder. All the files should remain as it is. If you are getting an error when turning the game on make sure you have osyscall6 and not ReF00d

Does my Vita have to be hacked to utilize this English patch?

Yes. You can of course use the legit game, but the home brew software needed to utilize the patch requires modding. It’s rather easy to mod a vita, You can find some nice online guides. A MAJOR benefit of morning is to be able to play Japanese imported games with fan patches . And of course some other things like consult enhancements and overclocking. A lot of people associate modding With illegitimate youth, but that’s not true at all, there are so many features you can benefit from

Maybe sometime in the future. The team is currently working on fixing up all the issues still in the current build so its basically perfect.

@@shenrais1248 hey,ive been having error C2-12828-1 ,,, at the final chapter when Sergei drives you to the ancient battlefield, it always gives me that error, i cant proceed

@@luisaldo6569 That has actually been fixed internally but is not available to the public yet. You can bypass it by removing the patch and reinserting it afterwards.
