Today I'm mounting the MPPT 80 600 Solar PV Charge Controllers. These are a lot lighter than the XW Pro Inverters by far. I did forget to remove the knockouts for the wires that will run through them but was able to get them out while the units were already mounted.
I also started work on the Power Distribution Panel and should have the wire diagram I'm needing to get started wiring everything up in the next video.

yea, you are SO right! i just got a quote to replace my old Xantrex XW 6048 with the Schneider XW Pro 6848 and he wanted $1500 just in labor to hook up, what - 4 wires and 2 RJ45 connectors?!? no way. it's NOT like it's a new install or anything. not to mention the $700 extra he wanted to charge for the inverter over what AZ Wind & Solar is selling it for.

how many kW's did you decide to go with? With your 2 season panel array set up, it will be interesting to to see the differential between summer and winter.

It is 15.36kw. Bit of a big system but still less than half the cost of hooking up to the grid and we didn't want to compromise to much on power.

Hi...I have 2 mppt Schneider with a 6848 pro, both with 9 PV 330W ...they are configured primary and slave, but I have noticed that they do not both produce the same...the primary is always lower in production that the slave....do you know what my problem is?...thanks

Yes, you need to calibrate the inverters to each other. It is a $500+ tool that you'll use for ten minutes. There are specific instructions to follow. I had to get them directly from Schneider tech support, which isn't very good. I eventually disconnected one inverter and am only using one now since we've never exceeded output of a single one and the dual set-up was very buggy. I'm keeping the second as a spare.

Hey good day. Can you tell me the how the inverter is doing so far. And are you satisfied with it? I have one the sw6848 + Still do not hook it up as yet need a charge controller.

Everything is working fine since I disconnected the slave inverter. The dual set-up was very buggy and I realized that we've never exceeded the output of a single inverter. Keeping the second one as a spare.
