701 with FMF 4.1 and Rott intake near downtown Chgo here. PCV w/ Autotune treated me well for 3 years until last week when PCV threw 4 error codes. I'm back up and running with a PC6; the new C3 software it taking some getting used to. (PCV is not in stock anywhere and is discontinued). Conclusion: Dismantled the PCV unit and inspected the board. It turns out that 3 years of having the PCV lying flat under the seat isn't the best for the chip. It would still run, but the slightest bit of pressure to the area over the chip would cause the unit to lose connection. I now have the PC6 mounted as you have done. Thanks for the video.
Holy crap that's great info! I had issues the first damn year with mine.. but sounds like you got the formula down! Glad to hear the 6 is doing well now and will probably be an upgrade for me pretty quickly!
Thank you for your video it helped me installed the pc6 on my enduro R 2021. I installed the sas delete kit, the fuel dongle, the rottweiler intake and the arrow exhaust with the rottweiler map I think that should fix most of the throttle jerkiness and give me more power that I need.
I think you got one heck of a good mix there! That's basically the same as mine and you will love it! Cleans up the mid range drop and anything above 3,800 RPM is butter!

hey that is awesome video you actually showed everything that nobody does. I have a question. I'am going to buy the same bike (new) but it will be for A2 licence so it will have 50hp instead of 74hp and my question is will I "unlock" full 74hp if i buy that powercommander 5?
Thank you! And I am not 100% sure on what the A2 license situation looks like. The PCV is basically a piggy back into the factory ECU so I would assume it would just change the existing (factory) tune and not unlock the full HP.. again, I am no expert hahah I can tell you that the 74hp bike with the PCV makes a bit of a difference on the power curve and supporting mods will definitely make you some more power!

Hey Keko! I appreciate the love and try to be as funny as I can haha but all you really need is the powercommander itself, you don’t necessarily need anything else it can go right on a stock bike! I noticed a pretty big difference in the mid range, it cleaned up the powerband nicely and I would highly suggest! Just remember I did have one fail on me already and you can see the full series on my channel so be fore warned, other than that I will always run one to support the mods I have!

Congrats on the new bike! If you have the intake AND The exhaust I would definitely tune for it. I'm not sure how safe it is to run without a tune but you can get so much more out of the bike with a tune!
How’s the difference between stock and the PC installed? I’ve got a 22 690 enduro and installed a wings exhaust and now it’s lost so much power! Im just keen to know whether or not it’s worth it? Also have you don’t anything to ur air intake box?
There is a huge difference with a PCV so I would suggest it, more power, a much linear curve and you gain a lot of great info on the bike, not to mention help support any mods down the road! I actually just put one on.. hahah so you’ll see the video today!
Hey Colt! I usually run it on 2 for “SPORT” about the only time I have ever ran it in 1 is when it was raining.. hard! And that helped soften the throttle response. I have also ridden with ABS off and Traction off but don’t necessarily turn those off every time

Not sure on the legality of that one haha I’m not looking to make any bad terms with Rottweiler. It also depends on your current mods, they are $50 or the Rottweiler site tho! Super easy from there.
Unfortunately not.. I know for a fact it was the PCV but DynoJet never bench tested it, just simply said it failed. I wish I knew if it was a specific plug or what.. but at the end of the day, they sent me a new PCV

@@nwmotog oh hell yeah that’s going to be a great enhancement! Those are some of my next steps.. Holy crap I’m the 2nd?! Something has to be wrong with PCV and the 690.. or just finicky.. I have heard of plenty of people complain about them on other bikes too but Rottweiler new parts will always give me a free tune..
@@LifeWellRidden yea. The other guy doesn't think it it's the power commanders fault and he says even his dealer says it's most likely faulty parts failure but he's pc5 tuned. Won't say what map he's running, but sounds like he fried his piston rings.
I am not sure, in all honesty I didn’t do much research into other brands/options since I knew I would be ordering more parts (air intake/SAS delete) from Rottweiler Performance and knew I could get free tune files with every purchase. I’m sure there are some out there that are wayyy easier then going through this process!
That I don’t.. I imagine since they both would like to control the “same” things it should be fairly similar? Like there is only 1 crank position sensor.. so I’m sure it would be? Again I’m not sure..
@@22smcrrider96 I have the 5 and didn’t realize they came out with the 6.. I’ll have to do some digging on that but from what I remember about Cobb and my Subaru was that it was more on the tune than the unit itself.. they would just change the features of the read outs but the motorcycle tuners are hidden so not sure the difference.. now you got me thinking haha
@@LifeWellRidden yea I was just looking on rottweilers site and seen it showed a 6. I know it shows an auto tune feature but idk if that's something new. I really don't know much about any of the tuning devices! Was just rewatching some of your vids deciding if it's something I wanna do! Do you feel like adding PC was a worthwhile upgrade?
@@22smcrrider96 I know auto tune was available for the 5, you can get a switch for it from Rottweiler haha so maybe there is nothing new?! Maybe?! I’ll look into it more haha I would say yes, it cleaned up the mid range a ton but unless you are going to heavily mod then there isn’t like a huge difference, I feel like I’m going in circles here hahah I would get one and I will always have one on a bike for the minimum changes stock but I always modify everything, just beware that they fail, I have a whole series on what happened there 🤣

@@16vjago well mine is very basic and won’t accommodate for the air box so it would actually be worse for your bike, Rottweiler sends custom tunes and their only $50 specifically for your bike
@@LifeWellRidden i know you did that but every single change on the engine requires an ecu reset. Start the bike do not touch anything. Wait for 15 mins usually 15mins and 30 seconds Shut it down. Ready to go My 2 cents

Haha hell yeah, this was my computer back in high school in 2010 and all I have is Macs so I haven’t quite figured out how to run the DynoJet program on Mac.. so it works as just a loading platform, I would never tune with (even tho I have no idea how to custom tune..) haha
