Something not covered for I guess copyright reasons , is that as mentioned, some systems need a BIOS file. There are some places that offer a complete set (google is your friend), these just go into the Retroarch System folder on the PC, I imagine it's the same for the PS4 version.

Great video!!! Everything works just fine. But I did run into a small issue, The n64 emulator’s and games are super laggy and when I try an alternative core i get a blue screen with the error code (CE-34878-0). I’ve looked everywhere for a solution but everything I found seems to make it worse or do nothing. If there is any fix to for n64 games lagging please let me know.

i tried to run Snes emulation, and don't get good speed, neither n64 emulation .. And the cores are not updated, for example there is no FBEvo core, its a shame.

Does running emulation on a PS4 Pro instead of a regular PS4 make a huge difference? Because i cant run any games flawless without massive stuttering or beeing above 10 fps

I don’t think so because the CPU barely differs from each other, which is what emulation needs the most. The main difference between regular PS4 and Pro is the GPU. Could be wrong tho

It can indeed. When you boot a game get into the quick menu and you'll be able to set up custom controller input and then select "Save Core Configuration". Done and dusted

You can on the PC version of RetroArch they have a PS2 core you can use but for some reason it doesn't show up one the PS4 version

Not at this time. My solution is to buy a used WFi router, install ddwrt, run the exploit from there. You can bridge your Wi-Fi connection to your PS4 and still use the internet.

@theknowledgegamer3852 you will need access to a PC long enough to set up one of these devices (and the 'other' device) or do without. For a truly PC free experience you would need a PS4 on firmware 9 or lower. Lower firmware PS4's are rare and likely expensive.

He has no control over the jailbreak process. That is entirely up to the developers. The security on ps5 is much more advanced than the one of PS4. Personally I'd be surprised if we ever see a full jailbreak for ps5 EVER.

The PS4 jailbreak scene is great and all but we need more development on the PS5 fast since PS4 is not launching too many more games now everything needs to re focus on the PS5 jailbreaks, thats what I hope because so mani games and if we cant get a fw spoofer for games or a higher fw jailbreak having a PS5 on low fw is like having a paperweight since the amount of games that run on fw 4.51 is very small 😢

if anything it should be the opposite since the ps4 is nearing the end of its lifespan the best thing we could do is make the best homebrew support we can for the PS4, so that we can get the best out of the console
