Really good Idea. I'm doing a Robot Engineering nanodegree in Udacity right now (first month for free due to COVID situation), and we are working only with ROS. I was thinking how to put my hobby (long range flight) with ROS together. Good job!
Hey, I loved your video. I have one requests: 1. It would be great if you could do a video on connecting the raspberry pi 4 to the pixhawk over telemetry port. In particular, what kind of wires/connectors you use and where can we go to buy them or how to make them. Looking forward to more videos.
Hey Andrew, I had forgotten about this video previously! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-DGAB34fJQFc.html Let me know if that doesn't help.
hi dennis thank u so much for u efforts and video it's so helpful i just have a question cause i'am beginner on drone ... and i have pixhawk 2.4.8 and pi4 i am trying to build an autonomous drone using ML "image processing ". my question please is i will use Communication with mavlink or this new option ? and is it possible to use MAVROS directly on the raspOS without ubunto server (just command interface ) ?

Hi Dennis. Thanks for the video, but my master node is not being recognized. This is the error: Unable to register with master node [localhost:11311]: master may not be running yet. Will keep trying. By looking my ubuntu configurations I have /dev/tty8 as serial Device. Also, I don't have any /dev/ttyUSB* or /dev/ttyPixhawk. Can you help me?
Great tutorial. We were wondering if we are able to install ROS and MAVROS on a cloud server, and listen to a drone controller (which sends mavlink message out) in local.
Hey Dennis! I am your RU-vid subscriber and i need your advice with drone. I have built a drone based on rpi and Pixhawk 4. I am looking for any ros based library which will enable me to do SLAM and trajectory planning with lidar or camera and be suitable to run on rpi. Could you recommend any? Huge thanks and respect for work you are doing!
Thanks for the comment and it sounds like a fun project that you're working on. I'm not aware of any projects but will certainly do some looking around. Best of luck and please keep me updated on your progress!
Hi bro, Thank you for sharing this with us. Please would you be open to making a video on connecting the Cube Orange + ADBS carrier flight controller to a Raspberry Pi via telemetry ports considering this is a newer version to the PX4 with ports that is quite distinct and less accessible when compared to the latter? Thank you in advance!
Hello, Just a quick question here. Have you flown with the setup as shown, with RPi4 USB A to PX4 micro USB connection, and experienced any issues with reliability? I am developing using similar setup and have not yet decided which route I should pursue (UART or USB like yours). Thanks in advance, AK
