Is there a "collar extension" that Schlage makes for a deadbolt installation where the door hole was cut out slightly too large ?

This is not about "Installing deadbolt locks," it's "replacing."

That strike plate is meant to go on the hole on the inside of the frame (where the bolt) enters, not the door.

I just installed a deadbolt from Schlage. I noticed a lot of play in the locking mechanism and seemingly cheap material for the back cover. How are these?

You installed the strike plate backwards on the jamb. The screws should be on the door stop side, the outside (opposite to what you did).

I will say one thing. If your aren't a locksmith, it takes patience to install one of these.

You skipped the HARDEST part of the install 🙄 in your video - getting the screws to align. Completely unhelpful

These locks don’t install easy as it looks there a pain nothing lines ups I will takings these back too the store as their are crap 1out 10 1 give these locks a -5

You either don't know what you're doing or your door conditions suck. Call a professional.
