Hi there! Thanks for watching my video :) Today I'm going to show you the process of installing the B16 in my Honda CRX. The B-series is a VTEC engine from a Honda Civic by the way!
A long time ago I was installing a new clutch on my car (rear wheel drive) I din't want to take the engine out so I had to come up with a way to line up the clutch plate to the fly wheel. What I used was a broom handle, worked great
Hey Joy - great work, and greetings from Ireland. Quick question - did you need to cut any of the webbing out from the bonnet / hood for it to close properly over the B16??
@@joy.vanhaelen excellent - thanks. Have a B18c6 going into mine at the moment - was originally a ZC - same as D series - and has the same bonnet. Was hoping the bonnet would fit without any cutting!
Take that ctr damper off and put the b16 one back on. The reason why they come on the civic type r is because they are internally hand Balanced from the factory which the b16a are not . I promise you it will cause damage. I have been working on these for 20 plus years and I am telling you from experience.
@@joy.vanhaelen obviously we know that the motor isn’t going to hurt itself right away, but in the long term it definitely will. if you can’t get the stock on, it’s good to have an aftermarket one like a fluid damper if you plan to build the motor. Good luck with the build. Can’t wait to see more.!
Hi from Australia. Great to see you getting the crx on the road. I did my apprenticeship on these when they were new. Plenty of late nights fitting A/C , and other accessories. Your doing an awesome job. Enjoy the process and the reward at the end. Keep up the great work 👍
Props to u for making it look so easy! I was thinking about doing the same thing to my 1991 crx dx, but haven't gotten the courage to do so... I hope to continue to see more content like this and having myself gain the confidence to try the same thing out!
Another big step has been taken! I am delighted with your work. The time will come when you finish this project and get behind the wheel to go for a ride! It will be an unforgettable feeling
