In this video I show my process for installing the end wedge. I learned this (and many of my processes) from watching Eric Schafer's youtube video: • #27 The End Wedge

Great videos, concise to the point but you have all the details. I live in Ireland and am currently building my second acoustic guitar through attending classes. I still find your videos very useful to watch a s I progress through each step. Thanks.

I'm getting ready to build my second guitar at home. I took Eric's 8 day workshop in May 2018. He's a great guy and has an online building class too.Your guitar looks fantastic.

Very nicely done Adam! Doing an end wedge insert was one of the most rewarding parts of building the guitar for me. Really enjoying watching your videos. Brings back a lot of memories both enjoyable & sometimes frustrating........... :)

Thanks for sharing mate, it really gives me confidence that I will able to do a good job on my first guitar build that I'm planning. It's good having the insight and seeing the mistakes of another amateur woodworker, rather than watching the pro luthiers (which is good in other ways). Thanks heaps, you earned my subscription!

this has been one of my biggest concerns with building an acoustic, connecting the sides seamlessly. I really like the wedge design.

As always, very interesting and clear! I don't think I'll ever build a guitar. But I still watch.

That's some nice wood, looks great. Been watching this series, you're really precise with your work. I would certainly buy anything you built. Really liked your side bending template build.

Hey man, appreciate the videos! How was the work-ability of the ziricote wood? similar to the rosewood?
@AGuyDoingStuffAdam

No! Rosewood was so nice to work with - I love the look of ziricote but so far it has been way harder to work. More dense and brittle and stubborn. I am hoping the rest of the build is going to go ok, but if I could go back I probably would use indian rosewood again... If I ever finish this thing I'll probably be glad I used ziricorte though just cause it's different... Thanks!

after I asked the question I watched the bending the sides tutorial....haha. Hope you are able to get similar grained sides, and the 2.0 video is smoother! My guitar will be my first attempt so I think I would do the prebent sides on my fist guitar and launch my battles elsewhere. But the ziricote and sinker redwood combo has be excited. Ziricote is by far my favorite tonewood look. End result will be stunning! looking forward to the next video. Cheers!

Jack HAMMER haha yeah - thanks man! Yeah I got my second pair of sides bent and it went way better. Bending the rosewood sides was easy and actually pretty fun but I wouldn’t blame you if you went w prebent sides. Good luck on your build let me know if you have any questions - I’m def not an expert but I just went through learning stuff so I have a beginner perspective

Ok this isn't going to make me very popular but I have to say it. Your guitar build is nice, the end product is very nice, but I can't get past the fact that you don't seem to know the proper names of some things. That's not a "hand planer" you're using, it's a block plane. I know I'm being anal here and this is my 2nd video with negative comments from me, if they could be considered negative at all, I'm just pointing out the obvious, I'm the end customer after all. :-)

Haha no it’s good! So much of what I know I learned online and have had to piece bits of information together so it’s good to have the “heads up’s”. Bummer for the people that are learning the wrong pronunciations from me ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
