We got a med. one today but ours is the one piece. Warning you better not be very large framed yourself as you will have a hard time going in and out the door. The door we have is a very heavy duty sliding door and the spring top metal will not fit so we had to bend it inward to get it to go in the track. The bottom of our patio door has a double security lock for an alarm and that is not removal so we in turn had to cut out the bottom 1/2 high x 1/1/2 for it to work. The door is not tight fitting to the patio door and put on the strips and went to town and came back and they were laying on the floor. The dog door magnets are not very strong and any little breeze causes the flap to open. We are using this for interior use going from a house to a greenhouse (used for cats not plants) and I would not say it's a very good door for using to keep bugs and weather out. Not on the top of our list for recommending. We received it from a supporter of our Sanctuary so can't look a gift horse in the mouth. The install was easy other then mentioned items. Door frame quality is good. The pet door is clear and that's a nice feature but the gaps and inability to have a tightly closed door pet doo and patio door lock without security in mind. I would return it if I could.
the top channel on the pet door seems to be open at the end. That black foam tape therefore has nothing to stick to, and that looks like an obvious air leak area.
