Thanks for sharing, looking to put lights in my 83 j10 truck and seems the rectangular lights from trucklite are going to be it. JW speaker makes a set too but the knock offs are terrible. Love the Toyota, we have a 93 4Runner.
So these are a direct plug and play? No added relays or wiring? Do you have a Truck Lite part number for these? Was going to do LED headlights on my 93 SR5 but with all the added shit and wiring I’m opting not to.
Excellent video. Just ordered some H4 headlights and a wire harness in the event I'll need it. Loved the before and after comparison. My '91 Yota will be much happier.
MonkeyBrainSushi, did not want to spend $400. Ended up spending $100 plus the adapter for $22. Most of my money has been wrapped up in the 3.4 swap. That 3.0 just wasn't cutting it anymore plus a bad head gasket pushed the swap.
I'm looking at the exact same headlights, or JW Speaker 8900's for my Toyota Pickup as well. The factory headlights are dangerous, it's just how bad they are.
Yo dude, can you give an update on how's it going? Still strong? Did you have to make adjustment? Any comments from others about it? Cops bug you? Other toy owners bug you?
Are they still running? I have a 1990 Toyota Pickup and can't see anything at night -- if these are truly plug and play, I think any price is worth it. All the other LED's require relay harnesses. Can you confirm it's 100% plug and play?!?!
Eddy Jovel you have to look at the number that on the front your glass headlights ...it should say something like 27450C or B....make sure you look at each headlight Truck-Lite (27450C) Headlamp www.amazon.com/dp/B007ED7HNY/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_F8n4AbSP23SAX
Good looking truck! Did you have to install a jumper relay to get them to power to on? Or did you literally just plug the factory bulb harness right into the back the these new bulbs?
rex gerber make sure your get the right part number from truck-lite ....it’s been a while since I installed them....there’s either an B or C. At the end of the number.....I had to call truck lite to make sure
Anibal Ochoa Truck-Lite (27450C) Headlamp www.amazon.com/dp/B007ED7HNY?ref=yo_pop_ma_swf Make sure to check if you’re headlights are either 27450 B or C....the number should be on the front of your headlights ...on the glass.
Hello there I bought the same lights for my 91 Toyota pickup unfortunately I couldn’t install them do to the fact they come with an xtra adapter and I’m stuck finding the right fitting for the high and low beams.... help plz
Toyotas use a switched ground/negative where most lights are for switched positive. If the light you bought does not allow for reverse direction, then you need to change your polarity. Easiest way is with a harness/relay kit off eBay for under $20. Once you do the harness, you are good to go with just about any h4 light as it changes it to a switched positive. I have a vid on my channel of using it and leds that we're only $100 a pair and not 400.
They certainly are brighter but $ 400 ?!! I have a 1988 toyota pickup and I replaced mine for just over $ 125 and they are just as bright . I had to take the grill off to replace them and I played hell with those small rusted screws . They also were plug and go. No adapters or harnesses. Maybe yours will last longer . Who knows? But thats a lot of cabbage for a set of headlights.
