I started my Instant Locs on March 9th, 2021 and I have a total of 51 Locs.

Today’s video I’m getting a Loc Tightening/Maintenance. With instant Locs, a loc tightening is good to keep the locs in their form. This is because there’s a possibility of some of your instant Locs coming lose (depending on your hair texture) my hair type is 4a and VERY soft so I had about 4 Locs come undone.
Our hair grows downwards and it’s use to growing that way. After a few months of getting instant Locs, your hair may become frizzy and a few of them may come undone because some of the hairs may be coming out. A loc tightening will fix this as well as controlling the frizz and maintaining a certain loc size that you may desire.
It’s completely up to you. A loc tightening isn’t necessary if your hair doesn’t come undone within the first 3 months of getting instant Locs. BUT I do suggest getting them to control frizz and loose hairs popping out. If you have any questions don’t hesitate to comment below 💕
