This Instant Sambar Premix is a boon to Students, Bachelors,Young moms,Work from home schedule Parents,Senior citizens, Beginners and just about anyone who wants to enjoy a tasty Sambar in under 10 minutes!!
Ingredients For Premix
Coriander Seeds/Dhania 4 Tbsp
Dry Red Chilli 24
Tuvar dal/Pigeon pea lentils 12 Tbsp
Roasted gram/Bhuna channa /potukadalai 4 Tbsp
Methi/Fenugreek seeds 1 tsp
Hing/asafoetida 1 tsp
Dry Coconut powder 4 Tbsp
Tamarind lemon size
Curry leaves a few
Mustard seeds 1 tsp
Turmeric powder 1 tsp
Salt 2 tsp /to taste
For Sambar 4 people
Onion1
capsicum 1
tomato 1
Sambar Premix 3 tsp
water 2 1/2 cups
Salt to taste

Aunty nothing like home made sambhar powder. We really needed it which can be made quickly. Toasted curry leaves and mustard in the powder mixed separately is something new that we learnt from you. There is so much south indian vegetarian oooking. Thank you Gita aunty for your timeless recipes.💐💐

Hi mami! I am your new subscriber. I got instantly addicted to your premix recipes. I tried sambar one. Amazing Aroma! I just did a little variation from yours. I added 5 tablespoon of moong dal, thuvar dal, pottukadalai each along with 1 tbsp of urud dal. It came out so well! I'm really thankful for your great innovative idea! Namaste aunty🙏🏻 Greetings from Punjab🙏🏻🥰 Today i tried this recipe and i am so happy that it turned out really well. I followed the exact recipe and steps and the quick easy sambar was ready which i otherwise have to eat outside in a restaurant here. I lost my maternal grandmother (Vaddi Amma) when i was quite young. I think if she would have been alive, she would have taught me the things just the way you do. You are “Vaddi Amma” to me for teaching me things in a simplified manner🤗🤗

Namaste mam.Thank you for sharing instant sambar premix.Very useful for all during this lockdown period. Yesterday I tried your mixed veg paratha. It came out very well and the tip of applying oil to avoid stickiness did really helped me to roll out easily.I think I can follow the same for making stuffed parathas also.My pranams to both of you mam.

Very useful. There is something special about the way you explain , cook and finally serve the sambar with steaming hot rice, crispy potato bhaji and cucumber slices on the side,in typical steel thalis, that tempts one to come over to your kitchen and experience the atmosphere you create. Such a lovely recipe. I tried it out and hv made it so many times at home. My husband loves it. Recently I wanted to make thanni saar but I didn’t hv a lot of time, so I used the sambar premix and added in a popular leafy vegetable here in Malaysia- tavasi murungai keerai- and the end result was delicious thanni Saar. Tq for all these easy, time saving delicious recipes.
