My family had gotten one 2 years ago, and we don't ever use it because we didn't know how to, and I just now got to watch a video on it! I will be using it a lot not often now! Thanks!! ☺️
Thanks so much !!! I got an instyler for Christmas and didn't know what you do with it and how you do it ! Im gonna experiment with it after school tomorrow
It's a good idea to wash your hair & put some leave-in moisturiser in it while still damp, along with heat styling cream (I prefer cream anyway). Then use a hair-dryer or let your hair air-dry (unless you get the wet/dry model). I wash mine the night before I'm going to use the instyler as that cuts down time spent on it on the day. I keep the heat guard on mine as well because I heard of a woman who badly burnt her neck on the barrel without it. Mine's an early model however & I don't see them with the heat guard anymore, except the super expensive ones or the ones available on the instyler website (the latter of which sucks if you live outside the US as they don't ship internationally). Then finish it off with some argan oil as that smooths the hair & gives it a beautiful shine.
Rasma Cox I know it takes a bit of practice, and I find that you really have to clamp down and hold the InStyler tightly or it will not really give you good results!
Hi little girl!! Like all appliances that apply heat to your hair...blow dryers, curling irons, flat irons, etc. They all have the potential of drying the hair out and causing damage. So you should always try to protect your hair by using good products pre and post styling, not over washing and not overdoing the heat by leaving on the hair more than it takes to get the effect you're going for. Also if you prespray the hair with product it actually makes the instyler work faster so you don't have to leave it on the hair quite so long! Hope this helps!!
I got an instyler... And here's my problem- my instyler has a ridge like a gap- where the barrel rotates. Is the same with others or just mine??ps let me know. Thanks!
Hi Nita, no I don't use any heat protecctant, but I do like to use Argan oil on my hair first to help protect and nourish my hair. I also like using a product by Revlon called ONE it keeps my hair shiny!
I just noticed on another video that this comes with a heat guard. So you could've used that for the shorter hair in the front. I think when people do reviews, they should really read ALL INSTRUCTIONS before doing a demo/review video. I don't have this curler so I didn't know this came with that heat guard. BUT I do know about using just a regular comb to protect your forehead. This woman should've showed us the heat guard. But apparently she doesn't know about the heat guard because she could've used it on the back of her head when she showed us about doing volume for the back top of her head. DUH! This woman is so dumb doing this video. Sorry but it's true. When doing a demo/review video, the person should know everything about the product she is demonstrating.
