As a diy at home guy, it amazes me youre doing a swap on the floor in the garage, I wish I had a friend with your knowledge. Keep up the great videos and good info
hey thanks for the video. i bought an 94 LS and the timing was fucked beyond belief but the car ran. your video helped me correct and tighten it properly and now it runs smooth as butter. much love bro.
your the best man nobody spends there time teaching jdm enthusiast how build this type of emgine or be as detail as possible thanks man cause of you i feel i know what im doing now and learned something
Thanks for showing the world the proper way to time a vehicle. You have answered so many theories I had in my head with your step by step videos. You and your brand are really cool. Keep up the videos ill def be watching. By the wall yall are HILARIOUS with your southern talk haha
Hola, saludos desde santa marta-colombia, gracias a tus videos puedo desarrollar mi proyecto B20 vtec, que poco a poco voy sacando adelante, perdón por no escribir en inglés, saludos y espero que sigan subiendo videos.
Going over the coolant lines helped me a ton. I'm currently b16 swapping my Del Sol and all I really have left is to run the coolant and vacuum lines. I was a little lost how everything went. Actually still am a bit.
Any tips or write up for beginners? I'm building a motor from scratch and I need all the misc pieces like hose etc or can i reuse the stuff that's on my GSR motor?
@hondastreetgarage the easiest way to get those cam caps off after you take the bolts out, is to lightly tap them side to side with a rubber mallet. Alot safer and faster then tryna wiggle them around with a screwdriver
I have always bypass the cooler lines going through the throttlebody. Down here in Florida we have enough heat. Never seemed like a good idea to run hot coolant through my cold air intake throttlebody
Yeah man that crank key is crucial!! I stuck mine in a skate bearing container when I did my oil pump water pump and timing belt recently. Such a tiny piece but your engine is useless without it.
Liked and subscribed just have 1 question b20 vtec what intake were you using and next man putting that timing belt install was so awesome I could never get the slack out of the belt awesome peace
I have a question if I use a high compression b20 block with a b18 type r head. It is necessary to change the pistons. so that they do not hit the valves?
So i saw you didnt do anything with the oil pump or return line doesnt that affect how long its gonna last because the oil feed stuff doesnt shoot enough oil pressure for the vtec head? Input?
Does it matter what side u put the dowel pins on? Most kits say ex side. Jw cuz I’m doing a LS v and I can fit the standard dowels on the intake side but not the ex side my head must be drilled out. It was LS v before I got it.
How tight should the tensioner bolt be before you rotate the motor anti clockwise three teeth? I did every you said but I accidentally went 4 teeth instead and my belt a kinda loose but I’m not here any weird noise though
i keep get the engine head lift i dont understand why im running stock map i dont know why my fuel regulator is reading 50 psi and i dont feel any detonation or back fire, also my heads been worked on the mill i believe this raises compression but not sure any tips
Quick question for an body who knows I have a b20v just swapped it I have it tuned for b20v head tapped and all the basic but one problem when I floor it and come to stop wants to turn off someone said it’s rod knock or is it cause I forgot to clean the head after tapping it and it got clogged
I was told that I would need to grind a small portion of the pistons to prevent the valves from knocking on the piston when vtec kicks in, does anyone have any experience with this?
What basemap will run a stock b20vtec good like GSR? Until a tune? So if doing a stock build b20 VTEC and not changing pistons to raise cr should we use the 9:6:1 or the 9:2:1 or the 8:8? For power no boosting...
So... I'm attempting to do a b20v build my question is what year did GSR water pump do I need to use because at AutoZone they have different part numbers...can anyone elaborate
hey bud I've been following you're channel since day one but I wanted to know if you could do a video on a radiator support on a 92-95 civic coupe because I have a civic I need to know how to do this
love it I'm wanting to get a b20v for my DA well a b16 head lol, but for the water pump did you just go into the store and ask for a 22 teeth water pump?
I'm a diesel mechanic that works on Kawasaki 135 loaders, Kamatsu WA800, and Cat 992 loaders so with my tools that crank pulley bolt would be no challenge, unless it was installed with red lock tight and broke .
here is my 2 question question one that B20 look like was automatic transmission question 2 i think you never put the B20 in top dead center before you remove the Head
