It's just a quick one this week as no one wants to see me painting walls, etc. But for the last two years, we've not known how to fit an integrated fridge freezer door slider. And as soon as we knew what it was called, I got on it.
But cutting the story short... we had a handyman who fitted our appliances, but had misplaced the fittings. Also, we hadn't got a clue what they looked like or even called.
But, after a long search, we found this IKEA Universal door slider attachment. And the job was VERY simple!

Note, our fridge freezer is by Currys and not IKEA, but it still worked.

This guide is great. I'd tried on numerous occasions to follow Beko's written and video instructions and failed - each time, frost was building up on the back of the fridge meaning the door wasn't sealed properly. Decided to have one last bash at it last night, followed these instructions, checked fridge this morning and there is NO frost build-up!

I didn't even know they did kits that do that. If I'd of known a few years ago it would of saved me knocking a wall out and buying an American fridge freezer. Great job as usual beaut x

Oh no! We didn't either and the person who originally put the fridge freezer in for us dumped the attachments in the shed and we didn't know what we were looking for. He would have finished the job, but the top door got damaged in transit and we hadn't managed to get a replacement yet.

Thanks! I didn't think anyone would be at all interested in me painting and decorating our living etc. And with the time it takes to edit a video, it made sense I just cracked on and just shared this for now. Then I can move on to the bigger projects sooner :)

I just wish I knew what these things were called in the first place lol. We had someone do a few jobs early on.. including installing this fridge freezer. But he'd dumped the fittings and instructions somewhere and we hadn't got a clue what they looked like to find them 🙈 Even a visit to screwfix and they didn't have a clue. Finally we found something on Amazon, so thought I'd put this out there to save people two years of hassle too 😂

Can these sliders be fitted anywhere up and down the fridge door? I have a snapped off screw in the pre shown holes and need to add new sliders ( maybe a few since the door suction is really high suction!)

I understand the slider door bit. My problem is getting the 50/50 cabinet doors aligned. The bottom right hand corner is dropping, thus not an even space horizontally. I have tried aligning the hinges in many different ways but cannot get it right. Driving me crazy.

I just had an alignment issue and I 'solved it' by leaving the screws a bit loose in the track and the fridge side bracket - it enables it to ride up and down about 5mm approx. I did align the unit as best i could first - i went all the way back to the legs and wound them all the way in and then slowly wound them out to get things level as best I could - Floor wasn't straight which is an issue but the end results in passable. I'm a bit late here!

Any suggestions when the track and slider on a new fridge are too flimsy to open the freezer door ? the freezer is brand new and its suction is very strong and the plastic track just gives way at the top and bottom when the door is opened and the slider simply comes off ? I guess I need a metal track and a stronger metal slider but I havent come across an aftermarket alternative to the NEFF one provided?

Thanks for this! Is it safe to drill into the sides of the doors to mount the brackets? Just want to make sure that there isn't a seal that we'd be breaking in that area!

Hi , I wonder if you can help please...I have just had a new kitchen put in and the door fixing set need to be of the sliding variety. They will go on an intergrated undercounter fridge and freezer .The appliances came with the chunky hinges, do you know if they need to be changed too? Do they come in the sliding door kit or do they have to be purchased from elsewhere? If so do you know where from! Many thanks.

In the UK they usually come with the self-assembly cabinets. Maybe if you tried calling local kitchen supply companies? Fitters too.

Loosen the screws a little above and below the hinges on the bottom door, lift the door, then tighten them back up. Doing that might mean the sliders need adjusting though

I hope I dont need to dilute the paint but from memory it's quite runny so should be ok. Looking forward to seeing your next project... How about installing a water butt from your guttering downpipe or maybe boarding out a loft if it isn't already done ;)
