Nice vid. For people always saying they can't evade and there is no skill in MM, sure looks like your doing both lol

Yeah. I would agree that the skill ceiling is lower, because currently aiming is much more important and flying isn’t that important. But this is also a topic which CIG/Yogi is working on. He’s totally aware of the current MM flight issues and he stated that multiple times (for example the last few days in the shadow mosis discord). It’s really just the first version of MM and needs more time. I am excited what will come and change which the next patches!

@cataangle true, he seems like he has an idea and vision on what he is going for. I do fear that with the loudest voices being the hard core pvp light fighter peeps that it will fall prey to what the old model is now. Even now, how often do you see content on hard core pvp with large ships or heavy fighters? The feedback is very skewed and heavys are in a pretty bad place right now. Hopefully the hard core pvprs can focus on more than the light fighters, and give it an honest assessment on how all fighters should perform.

I dont think that will happen. CIG is aware of pve guys too! We did some internal squadron battle testing and we used mixed setups. I am also looking forward for 3.23 in PU to PvP and make new kind of videos. I think the team fights are in a way better place then before currently, although i agree to a certain amount that heavies are not in a good place currently. Keep in mind that we all have to find the "meta" ships and weapons, good team setups and how to fly correctly. It's very different now. Ships have clearly defined roles (or more than one) and must be played in the group accordingly. For example, in our group fights, we usually had at least 1 heavy, 2 mediums with us. We splited roles - while light fighters kept evasive and chased nearly dead enemies, our mediums (F7) covered the light fighters and gunned enemies done. I think medium will be the most flexible role, while heavies are more on the heavy dps-heavy armored role, but very slow/unagile. Overall, since 3.22, we did many team fights and enjoyed it. Keep also in mind that the ship stats are mostly copy pasted currently in the same class (for example the F8 flys like the Vanguard) and much will change there.

Y'all ain'tI even talking about large ships at all which is a big concern for the feedback of PVP.

@Shakalakahiki8 why would we be talking about big shops when it's not in his video? Lol. If it was a large ship video it would be good to converse about it. Think I made mention of it somewhere in here but it's not really something this video will be good for. Maybe if he does one with big ships we can chat about it ;)

It looks like reverse thrust / braking after boost is still automatic and free. Is it? That's the worst part of the new system for me. The auto-spacebrake after boost. It feels bad and makes no sense.

Due to the increased boost speed you are pretty strong slowed done. I also agree. I would like to see that the overall scm speeds are slightly increased boosting only increases the speed for a maximum of 20%. I think the huge difference between scm and boosted is to high (it’s 50-60%) and therefore it feels like a hard brake when you do not boost anymore. I also think that this is part of the reason why maneuvering is not that possible / strong currently, however, I believe that yogi is totally aware of the whole issue and they will work on that. I agree that this is (currently) the worst part of MM.

MM aim is really janky especially those above 400m range fight

No it wasn’t increased. It was just the combination of a really evasive opponent and i didn’t wanted to get close to him because of his ballistics and my arrow. It was a really sweaty fight! I also should have shooted more, but i was extremely focused on hitting and being evasive. I still have much to learn!

may I ask why your weapon groups change like that? any keybinds for it?

I've set the weapon groups from 2 to 1 group that i shoot all my omniskys at once. However, I think thats also what you are mentioning, they move between two groups while i'm shooting. I don't know why, but i think thats a bug (i want to try to reproduce it and report it in IC), not a keybind or something. Maybe.. it's because the weapon group screen is still on one of the MFDs... i will look into that.
