please can you suggest a build for the current patch? i'm so confused especially about the wepons, some people say to use all laser repeaters, others say in this patch only cannons are worth... also they say that the modules could go beyond the powerplant capacity and to manage the modules power from the ship...???? thanks in advance
@@ShinigamiAnger The good thing is, there is no "you have to use this and this, otherwise you are doing it wrong" It all depends on what you are planning to do, whats your playstile, etc. Try out for yourself. thats the way
@@throdwobblermangrove6200 I get that, thanks, though I'd just like to be pointed in the right direction, having limited time to play and even less money that I would prefer not to waste on unnecessary mistakes. For example I didn't know that I can mount an oversized gun if I get rid of the gimbal. Is this true? I didn't know. What about that matter of going beyond the capacity of the powerplant and having to manage it from the ship? Are they refering to the power triangle or is there something else? How to know how much power i'm going to need and which powerplant to buy? Why are people saying that in this patch cannons are the way to go? What am I missing? I was going to buy repeaters, would have i regretted that? Sorry, I'm new, and while exploring and understanding the game is fun, I'd just like to avoid unnecessary mistakes. Thanks.
For the longest time, the Titan was the "real" starter ship. With an interior to play with it's superior to the Mustang Alpha, and with a cargo bay it's superior to the Aurora. As more stuff has come in it's become less of a sure thing, but I still feel the Titan is a much better experience for players starting out than any regular "starter" ships.
Agreed, the Titan still has a role but is being shadowed by the newer starters that have full components and weapon racks. Someday the Titan and its variants will be brought to standard and feel even more amazing again.
Upgraded from an Aurora, it is good, though the multifanctional panels really bother me, the bottom one cannot even been seen, I have to move in free look all the time. The Aurora was incredibly better at this. Also the lack of buttons to open the cockpit and the ramp... And the lack of at least a weapon rack or even a small room to store a full armor (there really is space to add it with a lot of things that are currently just for aesthetic). It is a nice upgrade, though a lot is left to be desired tbh. What would be the best upgrade for a daily driver? C1?
Man, you're doing an awesome job getting your "Road to Invictus" content out! The Titan has always been one of the ideal starters for me. It's that, the Cutter or the Nomad. You can't go wrong.
my only issue with the titan, i really don’t like how old the cockpit feels, i know it’s an older design and it fits, but i really hate the cockpit lol
The Space Penguin is indeed a great starter, but it's one of those 'everyone and their dog flies one' ships. For a little more cash, the Reliant Tana is a great alternative, if you don't mind losing the cargo space, but truthfully how much trading can you do with 8 scu anyway?
Nose and body at 2.5k hp each with a bigger profile than most similarly tough opponents. Not a deal killer by far but gotta be careful about hp number reporting. Most of the extra 5k is locked into the wings and fins. Syulen is at 2k for body, the rest is stuck in those little winglets and syulen is even bigger. Just be sure to mention things like that as it does make a difference, especially when you wonder why your titan doesn't last 5x longer than your aurora under duresss
The only thing that I really dislike is the flashing Low Fuel light on the dashboard. Any other colour would have been fine, but the red would drive me up a wall, because I'd be staring at it constantly. I don't know what the devs were thinking.
The avenger is hands down my favorite ship. It was the ship I came into the game with, and I always make sure to have one in my hanger. I love my Penguin
**best size 1** 135C can be spawn at ground locations **best size 2** Titan or 325A or 315P depending on all rounder or cargo 300 series are customisable on pledge store **best size 3** Spirit C1/A1 or cutless Black/blue or Freelancer Max or Zeus ES/CL when you start getting some money behind you you will be getting one of these
As a brand new player who purchased Titan I appreciate this very informative video... What I would love to see next is coverage of UPGRADE paths ❤️🔥 Thanks Again!
I received this ship as a referral bonus I think, it just showed up in my inventory. Finally took it out last night and with 8 1scu boxes in the back I couldn't get out. I could not find a switch to exit from the cockpit and had to get fancy with my tractor beam to move the cargo out of my way. But for the starter missions in 3.24 I can see it being useful.
Had pretty much every starter in the game except for the Suylen for at least 6 months each. I still always have a soft spot for the Aurora LN regardless of its drawbacks. But I've always saw the Nomad as a home away from home. Very underrated multi-role ship. The coziest and most versatile of the bunch.
I was thinking of waiting on a sale to get the Cutter for the lower price and accesible cargo bay but I'm seriously considering grabbing the Invictus package for the Titan for $56 right now.
I'm having serious trouble taking down targets with the stock guns. Unleashing hundreds of rounds with no kill. So either I'm total shit or my ships bugged lol. Also had a bug where my weapons didn't resparn after a repair and I now can't afford new ones soooooo yer not good .
The Avenger for a long time was the best bang for the buck and I guess even after the price increase it's still decent. But I dislike the concept of "Tier 2" starter ships.
Hmmm ... not an easy decision what ship for the start is the right one. I thought about the alien ship or this buddy here. For transport mission maybe this is a better choose (and it looks nice). The money it costs is my upper limit - but looks like the lower one are a lot weeken (like the design of the Origin 100i too - but that is to much money for to less what you can to with the ship imo).
This was my starter pack ship, back in like 2015. I think the two ships I kept bouncing back and forth on, for a starter package was this or the 315p, back when that was a "starter ship" and the 100 series didnt even exist yet. Still don't know why the 100s exist at the same price point of the 300s lol, but still. I LOVED the Avenger, kinda wish I still had it, I eventually upgraded it several times, now I have the Redeemer in my game package. I also still like the 315p, especially since the 2 ships are only like 5$ difference, and the 315p has 12scu of cargo, though idk how it flies compared to the Avenger, the only thing I didn't like about the Avenger was its fuel capacity, but I never bothered upgrading the jump drive, as I used different ships.
Great video! just one thing tho... i must be using a different Aurora MR ship than you, since mine definitely doesnt have any cargo space. not sure where you got your 3 SCUs from?
To add to the pluses here for any new players considering this ship, the other variants of the Avenger series have modules pre-installed (the Stalker and Warlock). So as a starter, you should be just a module away from participating in bounty hunting and interdictions. Whether we see these modules in 3.23.1 or later, is anyone's guess...
first of all: thx for the video. :) Titan's one of my all time favourites. The gold pass will come some day and till then one can still use this ship very good for multiple actions. The QF is really a pain in the ass. To counter that, you can at least change the Expedition Drive to an Atlas, which will raise the max distance you can go from around 60 to around 80 Gm without losing speed/raising travel time.
Once I hit concierge I turned my lti Merlin rewards into a Titan renegade and melted my starter package, and swear, I spend more time in this ship than most. It’s just perfect especially since MM, I feel like it’s a very decent fighter and I can do everything
Nice video dude. But I think you can improve the dps comparison. The Titan has a balistic weapon attached which distorts the data. It would be better to take only one weapon that is available in all sizes and compare all ships with it.
Upgrade from Mustang to this one a week ago, best choice I could do it's a fantastic one (Fyi, the Mustang cargo is bugged and you can't access the 4 scu)
I started with a titan and I was not disappointed. Slap an atlas in it and the QT fuel isn't an issue. I made the mistake of getting rid of it once, it wasn't long until i owned another one! Even when you have bigger ships it makes a great little taxi ship with its short claim time and is great for stuffing bodies in the back after a bunker run to strip all the gear off. honestly love this ship :)
I am torn between the Titan and Cutter ... I want a nice little ship for some easy and quiet box missions ^^ And have to say, these videos get better and better, really love those intros
I feel like with everything you’re getting with the Titan, I feel like a price tag of $65 is probably more reasonable than $75.. It’s great that it is the fastest ship on NAV mode, but sad that it doesn’t have a lot of Quantum fuel in it.
I bought one of the discount game package with this ship to get into the game and it was a great starter ship! I love that it has a bed, a little cargo space, and some weapons.
The 315 has a better interior if you like origin design and more cargo space, but the Titan has much better firepower and survivability and can fit a small vehicle inside. Tough choice! I’d pick the Titan if I’m not just doing cargo, but if I want a more relaxed experience I’d pick the 315.
@@EvenLease44 I'm thinking of selling back the 315p as I'm not a fan of the rear spoiler blocking the view. It's a nice ship but for a "pathfinder" I'd rather go back to the Terrapin and as a runaround I'll probably get the titan.
Since we have limited inventory space, it will be very nice to show also storage capacity in this ships. Cutter for example have 960 micro scu, wich is trash, especially, when additional locker and cargo boxes are very buggy, because of this new "fancy" looting system.
@@EvenLease44 Unfortunately, I did not find the current values of the internal inventory of ships on any of the websites, nor in the pledge store or star citizen wiki. But just enter the ship, press "i" and the available capacity should be displayed at the top of the ship's inventory window. It's a pity that the in-game stores don't show any specifications for ships, components or weapons.
Why not the The avenger warlock its better fighter than the base and better speed and an EMP shame it sucks in the new meta you should know more about what you talk about if you did you would.know what a dumpster for video.is
I like to think of the cargo space on this as space for things you find from doing MRTs rather than dedicated cargo running. The atlas QT drive also fixes the fuel woes it has, it gives you abiut 25% more range and is a touch faster than the stock drive.
Oh by the way the oragen 315 has 12 units of cargo how long have you been playing sure you how to play the game do you know you can change the Quantum drive and give it more range please learn more about the game if you are going talk about it cause I am going to call you out when you are wrong
