Being a white belt and watching this is like going to France after taking French I, you can vaguely understand what's going on, but can still appreciate it

I am a beg. too and its damn hard and complex and I am doing a White level No-Gi class . I dont have to roll with anyone over Blue. I did have to roll with a purple and he tapped me out in seconds with a ezikel choke.

Its a good martial art i know, i just dont like all the rolling around on the ground. I prefer more of a judo style thats about like 70/30 in favor of standing technique. Why do they always start seated or on knees?
@tritacacademy
@tritacacademy 5 лет назад
They're working on the sportive aspect of BJJ where the guard is a huge component. In regards to judo or wrestling or the takedown arts, if you don't have strong takedown defense and you end up on the ground, if you don't know how to fight there, you're basically fucked.

bjj works on how to take down ppl to, as it's focused on ground based techniques, but they are training the main aspect of bjj which is ground fights

Hi, i want to ask..was Formiga going very easy on Rafael here because he seems to be on defensive a lot. Also Rafael's pressure guard passing is amazing!!

On what i saw... its not intense... blue so good at his defense and retention... his pass on half guard was awesome but white gi counter him... handsdown on blue gi... white gi had a hard time... white gi like to stack pass but blue got every answer... blue was being easy actually... high level jiu jits... blue gi ddnt even get tired.

i actually like the blue gi guy a bit more just because he didn't west much energy and have rock solid defense. so my impression if they didn't had time limit at the end blue gi was tactically wining over

@williamfenton8246
@williamfenton8246 6 лет назад
marco deroos Wrestling is more aggressive initially but also you expend much more energy... playing into the hand of the relaxed jiu-jitsu guy who is cooking your energy waiting for you to gas out so he can put you to bed. Also did you see Rickson Gracie vs Koichiro Kimura in Vale Tudo?

I had to roll with a huge huge Wrestler and got smashed but he only taped me once in 5 min. Then I rolled with a super explosive skinny wrestler and got smashed and submitted once in 5 min. I lost both badly. Wrestlers are so great at covering you like paper and so damn tough.

Uncle Angie : jitsu is the fake . I discovered it’s all show and no go.. very little of it is effective when it comes to reality . The Graces summoned it up saying it’s ‘sport jitsu . And I agree .. compare these two painted black belts wth the Gracie sparring . The Gracies are ballet in motion while there’s two clowns ate smelling each other balls in a circus

@@CaseyKCRichards this is my favorite line "I have discovered that's it's all show and no go" lolololol!!! Love it! Please please enlighten us, how did you discover the secrets that make Jiu-Jitsu no go????!!!
@CaseyKCRichards
@CaseyKCRichards 5 лет назад
TRITAC Media : There is no secret ; however one can distinguish the very difference of when the true pros do it like the Graces which is a pure art form of expending less energy and strength as opposed to the armatures who are trying so hard in using strength ( less technique ) in truing to bulking for position. I equate to the gym rat trying to lift the heaviest weigh using little technique and little results . I hope this has enlightened you. For this was separate those with a high IQ and those with Neanderthal brains
