In this video I wake up early and take my Fujifilm X-T3 out for a sunrise landscape photography shoot. The morning light was intense, full of colour and fleeting. I hope you enjoy this landscape photography shoot.

One more thing that I forgot to add: Your photographs have got huge a calming vibe to them. If I'm watching your videos with a cluttered headspace while watching your video then there are 90% chances that as soon as your image pops up it kind of makes my head calm. I get this feeling when I meditate.

Loving these 4K uploads. Even if you shoot in 1080p, uploading in 4K just forces youtube to use better encoding. No more compression artifacts.

Very inspirational Thomas, as usual. I often wonder, you make epic shots whilst still filming A/B-roll. How many shots have you missed because your priorities seem to sometimes lie with the video production?

I was thrilled to get your book in the mail. You have every reason to be proud of it, and I'm going to keep it out in the living area where it belongs instead of on the shelf. I immediately thumbed through, looking for the photographs whose prints I own, and I enjoyed reading about each of them. It was then I realized how much great content was there and how much work had been put into it. It really is an amazing book, and I'm so thankful you put it together.

I still remember that emotion when I was still shooting landscape. Now I shoot street photography with light and shadow in the regular basis, which somehow able to shoot at any time.

My book arrived in Alberta Canada yesterday! I’m having my first look right now! It’s definitely inspirational and that’s just what I need right now, I leave on a 4 day backpacking trip tomorrow morning. Have my 15 lbs of camera gear crammed into my backpack. Praying for clear sky’s at night to get a image of comet NEOWISE with some epic mountains in the foreground. I can’t wait for your upcoming video!

Noodle22767 no on all the clear nights we had there were huge mountains to the North blocking NEOWIZE. But the milky way was amazing.

If you are an slr person go for the XT-3. I had the X-Pro 2, nice camera but in my opinion not for landscape and serious work.

Thomas - you have a XT-3 there that is perfect for using with “Vintage” lenses. They can give you a whole new range of possibilities with your images.

I own bunch of Olympus Om system items and i tried the Zuiko 50mm 1.8 along with my X-H1 (to get stabilization). The results are well beyond my expectations ! Amazing sharpness for a 44 years old lens, owesome rendering and colors.... I scramble for the light very regularly. Props for keeping up with the vlog at the same time! Honestly, I think the last shot was the best of the three, I loved the contraposition between the sculpted beach and the industrial building and the wind turbine in the background. PS: if your secret destination should be the Dolomites feel free to get in touch, I will be happy to give you some advice and maybe having a social-distanced beer with you guys!

Very much a lesson in stick with the composition because as the light changes the composition changes. I'm sure you've said before to be patient and stick it out rather than run around 😂😂😂 breaking all your own rules :) I'm guessing Norway for next week haha

Good video but I have a question? When I shoot landscapes I use either a polarizer or an ND filter, never both. Why do you use both?

Camera guess: Fuji X-T4 since it's pretty good for video, you already have some Fuji kit, you want to travel light, and you're not made of money.

I've just added a Fujifilm X-T5 to compliment my Nikon Z7 II and bumped into your video which I've not watched before. Very interested in the 50-200 Lens. It seems to be quite a 'sharp' lens? As ever enjoyed your video. Just watched a more recent video where you have the Nikon Z7 ~ good call.

First two shots were so good, but they took a minute. So many near horizontal lines, none of which appear to be level which made my brain have to look and calibrate and look again. The reality is that the horizon is level just not the silhouetted land mass on it. After several moments all the chaos went away like when your eyes adjust to one of those crazy depth pictures. Brilliant job, sir.

Mine is Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina. You would crack up at the people standing out there in the dark waiting on a perfect sunrise, which occasionally transpire. I get it though. Great video as usual!
