Considering how brutal the actual Battle of Hue was, to see in-game combat get so intense on the map is a major compliment to the developers. Well done all!
Reminds me of how much I fucking miss Battlefield Vietnam. EA needs to pull their collective heads from their asses and put up a couple official servers. And put it up for sale again because I lost my damn CD key!
I knew that voice was familiar at the beginning... it's a Bluedrake! Also, finally a GOOD RS2:Vietnam video. Pretty much the 90% uploaded to youtube are fucking boring or absolute noobs play it.
gabrocki I hate people who hate New people, I by experience know how irritating New players are, but you should not scare New players by being the hardocore gamer that hates people who dont have as much time to play and practice
You're right, and I'm often guilty of this too, but usually only on RU-vid. When I run into new players who are willing to learn in a game, I'm helpful. But when I'm looking for footage of a new game, especially something as rare as Rising Storm 2, I can't help but be frustrated to see that most videos are uploaded by people who have no clue.
yeah but some habits should be quickly learned such as how magazines work and not running full speed for 3 or 4 minutes then ADSing only to bitch about the sight alignment it's frustrating to watch especially when they play important classes baronvongames spent a huge chunk of his last RS2 Vietnam gameplay playing a trap based class.... not knowing he could lay nade traps because he focused on and only picked the class due to the PPSH rather than the class utility if your new to the game play rifleman don't waste a USEFUL class because you want the gun and that is what pisses me off more than anything about nubz
Eric Johnston Or maybe because the quality on RU-vid is reducing the quality from which this game actually looks like. No need to start an unnecessary flame war on some games that aren't even related to this one in any way.
Manly Malarky, as someone who plays the game I can promise you it isn't RU-vid compression. This is how the game looks, it is very difficult to pinpoint enemy players. Why are you mentioning a flame war when there is none? Please don't try to start one.
Glad to see you still here bro! hard to watch gameplay videos without your commentary lol, and never fail to enjoy and game I see on here. A little fps never hurt anyone
You point your gun at the ground/to the side way too much and don't prepare your aim down sights in advance when you KNOW enemies are coming Diplex. It costs you MANY lives and opportunities to get kills.
*spooky firing sounds* *bullets land* In reality *Sounds of bullets landings* *Spooky firing* I know for a fact that those rounds aren't subsonic. Plz fix
hraesvelgML the bullets fly at above the speed of sound, therefore you would see the bullet land before you heard the burst of the spooky firing. However in this game, you hear the bullets and then see them land.
Aha, I though he was talking about when YOU fire bullets and then they land. This would be correct but yeah, I didn't notice the incoming bullet sound. EDIT: I didn't even see his whole comment, I didn't see the ''show more'' thing :D
Meh, I know I'm late but most of the firearms early war weren't suited for combat in Vietnam, as time went on the m60 was improved along with the m16, the only extremely reliable gun early in the war was the m14.
This video is the best advertisement for this game I have yet seen. As a veteran RO 1, 2 player I was not so impressed at first by the official commercials. Oh I thought the Americans have got their greedy hands on my fav franchise. Will it COMPROMISE the realism and go for flash and new sweet graphics (new toys like Helicopters etc) but lose the intensity. Take my money and run with it. Best game ever for me was RO 2 playing with US forces in Afghanistan with a US colonel as commander and other ranks taking their actual place in the game. I was invited to be a Sgt and give advice on maps game mechanics etc. The colonel actually wrote to me afterwards. They were amazed at how good RO2 was. 'Gives me PSTD' said one player! 'I feel dirty playing Battlefield fantasy after this' said another!
Only if you're literally going into a really tight area where you know there's upwards of 3 guys there, otherwise it would still make more ideal to just double tap them.
GeneralZ It's easier said than dome, cqc is really stressful. I've trained it many times, though I still suck at it. Full auto does have its place in it nonetheless. If you're some door kicking god with a lot of experience, sure double tapping and rapid target acquisition is a piece of cake.
GeneralZ I'm really talking about room clearing, but supply still works even in the middle of a battle. I don't mean that you should spray and pray, controlled bursts are still effective. You're not usually engaged for hours and hours in a row without an opportunity to rearm, if that's the case things are really going sideways.
Still waiting for someone to get shot and take 4 mins to die just standing there unable to bandage or do anything but slowly fade into the grasp of death. Seems like in /this/ game you just die instantly when you get shot, and I'm not being morbid but I liked the uber-realism of the death in R02/RS. People squiriming after they die, screaming, death rattles and gurgling. Legs being blown off with artillery. I literally want EVERY feature from R02/RS1 in this game. And considering they appear to be on similar or the same engine there's literally no reason we shouldn't get it.
This game has so many awesome moments because of the realism, like you almost dying for forgeting to reload, or the whole tension and fire exchange in it, it all feels very intense and visceral.
ahhh i remember this was the video that made me play rising storm 2 in the first place so I wanna thank this guy for making this video that introduced me to this game years ago which basically became one of my most favorite games of all time
Moliminous looking at the ground while aiming gives you a better sight picture. I do this a lot when my gun has bad iron sights so I can quickly aim up and shoot
My uncle was in Vietnam. He said it was realy scary and he lost his best freind in a surprise attack. Only my uncle survived but got a bullet in the leg.
There's actually a new cover system where you can actively peek around corners by aiming down but that's when you're close to the corner, rise, window, etc.
8:29 is why I developed the reflex of checking your ammo whenever theres an idle moment. short enough that an enemy cant get the jump on it for you and sure as hell better than getting that click
