Hey everyone!
Today we have 10 questions for you about our experience and what it's been like to be in a interabled couple for almost 8 years! We discuss the discrimination we've experienced plus our plans for the future and baby talk! eeek! Just as a warning, I do get a bit feisty in this video, only because of the topic and I'm so protective! Fiesty Leo right here haha
Thank you so much again Grace for putting the questions together for us x
This was really fun to put together, so please be sure to LIKE and SUBSCRIBE if you enjoy it too! It helps more than you know

What a great frank and open discussion. I hadn't even heard the term 'interabled couple' even though I'm in one!!! I identify with absolutely everything you said, especially parking in the disabled bay!! I've had several occasions when I can see people watching me, thinking why is she parking there? I actually milk it now and take a bit more time before I put my badge up and get out the car with my walking stick whilst looking straight at them! It's so funny to see them quickly look or scurry away - but that's just the naughty side of me!! It's true that in any relationship there are strengths and weaknesses - disability has no effect on that. I have the disability but am the 'organised' one so I manage the finances, meal plans, holidays etc where-as my boyfriend is practical and does all the odd jobs around the house and garden - things i can't physically do. My mobility is also degenerative and it is hard when you can do less and less but you just have to learn to adapt and focus on what you can do and achieve. My boyfriend has been great at helping me choose my wheelchair and scooter and encouraging me not to be bothered by what other people think. Every day can be a challenge but it makes you mentally stronger and I think as a couple we have done far more that many 'regular' couples. So thanks to both of you for making this video and I look forward to seeing more!!! x

Thank you Caroline 😊 I always look forward to reading your comments! Honestly, I was SO nervous posting this and showing off my sassy side! Haha Not that we have to be controlled by labels, but at least you know what yours is now. It’s ridiculous that you have to milk it just so you parking there is justified. But funnily enough James is the same with taking longer to get out of the car now. Aww it sounds like you have a great supportive partner 😊 Having that support makes a lot of difference to your mental state! You feel like you can do anything! Aww thank you!! X

I can relate to the Rottweiler comment - that is how I have been but it’s because we are so protective over James 😍 xxx

The only thing that ruin humanity in people is ,they always think disabled person is disabled in and out . To all the people around the world 🙏 disability is to certain part of the body . These guys are lit 🔥🥰🥰🥰lots of love from India.

I can’t handle it when someone says “that looks fun , hop out , let me have a go” , you almost feel a bit violated

It's extremely insensitive and such a silly thing to say. I can only imagine - You're not in the chair because you feel like it!! Next time something is said, I'm going to say something to embarrass them haha
