***CORRECTION*******CORRECTION****CORRECTION****CORRECTION****CORRECTION
I'm referring to the sensor that screws into the header as "temperature sensor", I'm sorry about that. As we all know it is actually an O2 sensor and more specifically (from the service manual) :
HEGO Sensor
The Heated Exhaust Gas Oxygen sensor detects the presence of oxygen in the exhaust and produces a variable voltage according to the amount of oxygen detected. The O2 sensor provides feedback to the ECU indicating air/fuel ratio in order to achieve a near stoichiometric air/fuel ratio of 14.7 : 1 during closed loop engine operation. The ideal mixture is the amount of fuel needed to make an engine perform as commanded by the ECU. (From the INT 650 maintenance manual)
In this video I share a few tips on the installation of the Stinger 2-1 exhaust system and my thoughts about it after a few days of use.
Thanks for watching!

There's only a handful of manufacturers making 2:1 exhausts for the re twins. It really makes the bike lighter and nimble. It's just a little odd to look at because of the small muffler.

Great video: narration and music very cool 😎 Nice tip about screwing temperature sensors on before installing headers. The TEC trick of pre-twisting them didn't feel right. Those who've installed 2-1 seem to agree on pros and cons: weight, performance, ride, sound, price, looks... Actually, there are only pros! 👌👍😍

Thank you for your comment Mark, glad you found it useful. About the sensors I mistakenly called them "temperature sensors" but they actually are oxygen sensors. Sorry about that. I have put a detailed explanation of how they work taken from the service manual in the description if you are interested. Thanks again! Cheers!

Hey all. I just put on the TEC 2-1, and they strongly recommend that you keep the baffle in. I'm wondering if anyone here has ridden a while without the baffles and if you have had any issues. Thanks!
@ksmotoshed7961
@ksmotoshed7961 3 месяца назад
Hi, I took it only for a short ride without the baffle but I found it too loud for my taste and I also didn't want to disregard the recommendation. I can tell you, though, that I did dyno runs with and without the baffle (everything else stock except for a DNA air filter) : Baffle in - 43.96ps Baffle out - 46.46ps

Nice video, very informative! I've fitted the pipes and completely agree with the points you made, much lighter and great sound, just enough for me! I noticed you decided to swap the handlebars back, any reason?
@ksmotoshed7961
@ksmotoshed7961 3 года назад
Hi Chris, thank you for your comment! The swap is only temporary and the only reason for that is that I wanted to be reminded of how it feels with wider and less swept back handlebars than the renthal's road low and I think I prefer the stock in terms of stance. But the superiority of the renthals quality is unquestionable, in my opinion, so either I'll go back to the road low that I was using or I will try some other design by renthal that is closer to that of the stock. Most probably I will try some new bars and maybe I'll make a comparison video too.

Thanks for posting this. Am thinking of getting one of these bikes but the standard Exhausts seem a bit wide, especially for pushing it down an entry way in a terraced House and/or for Filtering. I can easily see myself scraping them on Brickwork/Cars/Vans/Trucks etc. Does this kit also work for the Continental GT by any chance ? Not sure which one to get yet. Thanks for any reply.

@ksmotoshed7961

Hi, it is indeed a bit wide but this 2-1 system surely solves this problem. There are other options as well if you don't wanna go for 2-1, like these slip ons for example : www.baakmotocyclettes.com/en/interceptor-continental-gt-650/3391-10289-exhaust-silencer-royal-650-interceptor-continental#/822-finition-brushed It works fine for Cont GT as well, they are the same bikes except for tank/peg position/handlebars. Did you have to use new copper exhaust gasket rings in the head or reuse the stock existing ones?
@ksmotoshed7961
@ksmotoshed7961 3 года назад
I used new ones, they come with the stinger kit anyway. It's best to use fresh gasket rings cause the old ones are already pressed and won't seal properly if reused.

Hi, I don't have any reliable figures cause with all the covid-19 restrictions I didn't have any chances to ride very much and also I have made other changes at around the same time ( fuel booster and high flow air filter) so there are other variables as well. Anyway, from the little city riding of the past few months I haven't noticed any difference. I know I'm not answering your question but that's the truth.

Hi Hector, thanks for your comment! As my understanding in spanish is very limited (I'm greek) I tried google translation but I don't think it does a good job on that and I'm not sure I get the question. I think you are asking if you can assemble the pieces of the exhaust before you attach it to the bike.
