Good review bro. I rode the interceptor today with pillion rider, the bike is superb for Touring, very low vibrations even at 100km/hr and easily manageable in mild to normal traffic condition. I drove for 80kms on a highway and 14 kms in city and still wasn't very tired which is amazing as compared to other bikes. The power you feel upon accelerating is simply estatic. The things to improve are 1. the seat can have pillion rest for long ride comfort of pillion. 2. bigger tank capacity because mileage is 22-25km/ liter so range limited to 250kms . 3. Liquid cooled engine instead of oil cooled with insulation of heat affecting the legs. After a ride of 1 hour on highway at speeds of 60-110km/hr I started to feel heat from engine towards my legs, it wasn't summer so I could manage. I believe they should have put liquid Cooled Engine as people who spend 3.2 lakhs won't mind putting in 10-15k more for liquid cooling. Otherwise the bike is a big leap in RE and will snatch away potential customers of Harley Davidson and other bikes costing 7.5 lakh+ which aren't very practical on Indian roads and too expensive.
Oil cooler and liquid cooler is not different in summer time. I had a honda vtx 1800 liquid cooler and I felt more hotter than my new INT650. The wind blast is an issue but with a windshield improve a lot.
...and the intro, 5-10 seconds into the video followed by STRELL on a black background with no noise. Zohair, though I love his channel too, should learn how keep an intro short and simple, instead of that loud obnoxious music. Keep up the great work Strell mate!
Hey man... This is how a review is supposed to be. Just straightforward and no additional nonsense. Thank you for this. Hope to watch more from you. Instant fan! Subscribed!
Hey there ! Thank you for an amazing video !( I ride thunderbird regularly for long distances since three years ) it was damn exciting to see you ride the interceptor 650 !
Beautiful bro... 👍🏼 U have a uniqueness in both ur Malayalam and English video channels that nobody can just take by mimicking in other of their channels... Anyways like always “ Give ur Luv in form of opinions and suggestions by updating us in ur Moto vlogs with more rides in future”😊 Safe Riding....
Bruh , your videos are super nice. Simple way of explaining things. Loved it. I have started watching your channel since the time u rode the jawa 42. Subscribed today. Keep up the amazing work
Buddy talking about saddle bags, I have had a Triumph Street Twin and it had similar upswept exhausts, the conventional bags or the Claw style which u showed in the image, not the best solution, Claw is good for Sporty KTM style bikes, which have a slim raised pillion seat. The best option for upswept exhausts are the Rynox Nomad style ones. Good review, keep making them.
A bike has a certain character. You can use it for other purposes but that doesn't change the nature of the bike. I own the interceptor. It is a street thug. It can overtake anything out there and is very flickable. It is the equivalent of a shogun but with more power and can be pushed much farther. The bike is a bully and is totally different from the regular RE style of relaxed riding. It can be squeezed through gaps and can surprise other motorists with tremendous burst of acceleration. You want to use this beast for touring? You could but this is really the Mike Tyson of bikes and you wont ask Iron Mike to do a marathon, you use him to beat the sh1t out of other people - that is what this bike is good for, to dominate the streets
Hi strell.. Been watching ur videos for quiet some time now. Great content. Keep it up. I wanted to buy a sports tourer & I like the yamaha R3.. But should I wait for d 2019 model? Any thoughts on that? What r ur views on the new model?
I love my 650, except the seating position as a whole. The handle bars, peg position and importantly the seat! and mines bs6! Re needs to work on the seat especially. But that doesn’t stop me loving my machine.
Bro, can you elaborate the difference between sports bike posture and upright posture with advantages and disadvantages and how you felt on changing from unicorn to cbr as they have differing posture?
This is my take after upgrading from up right touring to sports touring. Sports touring is comfortable without wind blast. You feel the speeds that you are actually on to. Con is, it's so good for people with more upper body weight. Touring on naked motorcycle is like, always vigilant. The constant wind blast will keep your eyes open always 😊. Down side is, will get tired soon.
Will you please make review video on new PULSAR220f 2019... long tour and vibrations..... . I seriously believe your reviews.... Keep on doing such videos , so helpful for us...
What abt engine heating issues in your tour while riding for longer stretches in the tour or in city traffic. Plz comment Strell, very good review of the bike..Liked it.
Bs3 duke 200 I juss loved the power delivery how aggressively throttle response just a phenomenal machine. please dont get this wrong comment. its a feeel i couldn’t hide
Bro I own RC 390 and I like it so much but I want to upgrade to twin cylinder engine in same segment under 4.5 lakhs which one would you prefer ??? Please tell except ninja 400 it was my first priority but it is out of budget
Fab review Strell ! Very confused between Himalayan and Interceptor. Am not a fan of high speed biking, also looking for a long term reliable motorcycle , which one would you suggest?
Interceptor is very good in terms of refinement and top speeds. Himalayan on the other hand serves as a whole purpose machine for any road, with strong off roading capabilities.
Hey can u have a wind screen and have the review on the touring speed. Because I don't think that anyone wears riding gears when commuting to the office for a half hour ride everyday, but when going for a trip or long ride people do that. Similarly u have to have windscreen and other accessories for the bike especially when u r testing the touring aspect of a bike
Really love your content what's your age bdw? Also really confused between which bike to choose between 150-160 segment is mt-15 really worth it I love that bike but I think it's over priced thinking to go with fzs-v3 or should I wait for price drop of mt-15?
Great brother 👍....have u experienced the footpegs issue....if u have kindly let me know how to rectify it.... planning to buy one, already took a test drive, vry disappointed with footpegs..
Please tell me how would you rate the Royal Enfield 500 in terms of riding charm vs the interceptor..does the interceptor has charm or is it like other bikes ..I mean does it have the factor for which people ride Royal Enfield and not bikes like pulsar etc ?
You mentioned using a tank bag above 110 to check wind blast. What about the issue you had with the fuel injection being messed about by the magnets on the bag? This was in your GT 650 dislike video.....
Bro I am buying new bike in few days and I am confused which brand can buying one is Bajaj dominar400 and another one is ktm Duke 390 which is one best my purpose long ride and mainly engine refined , reliability those are in the bike which one can buying
Hey Bro, please comment on Himalayan BS6 if you have any Test Ride done on it. Is that really better than Interceptor 650 as a tourer and in city? I own a i650, very less run last 2 years, had fitted an AoM handlebar, can you comment if OEM is still better than AoM?
This bike would have made sense in 1980s, you will know the value of mono shox, USD forks, tube tires, radiator fan , heat management, after you make the silly decision to buy this bike just for the cc as I did, the worst is the seat, what good is a bike if you can’t sit on it for an hour even with the touring seat and I’m just 60+ kgs, let’s not even talk about the foot pegs and the poky clutch mechanism when you keep your feet down, fyi I own this bike
Great video. I have the gt650. For touring not the best but you can easy drive for 2 hours. Then take a break and drive for another 2 hours😁 RE is just love. Congrats to india for making such a nice bike👏🤜🤛🙌🤲💪
Hai bro. This is my 1st comment in RU-vid. Can u make a another touring review of 2019 R15 V3 abs? I want to travel lots of places by using V3. If u have time means pls make this.
Heared that break pads need to be changed by 10k kms or so and can u share the price of spare parts that would be great as everybody is concerned about same and no body shared till now
Touring in NS is a breeze due to it's flexible ergonomics and you can travel more than 600kms if you don't mind the windblast. The windblast will be a problem post 110kmph. Mileage with pillion @96kmph - 40, without pillion 45kmpl, @60kmph - 50, city(casual ride) 40, city(harsh ride) - 35. It is the best bike in that range for daily commutes and tours. Ride quality is harsh for pillion but not for rider.
I am looking for new bike. My usage is daily commute to office about 70km to and fro and touring may be in 2 months. My height is 5.1 . I am currently riding honda dazzler and have toured ladakh l, goa, gujrat on this ride. Looking to replace with bigger machine. My budget is upto 3.5 lakhs
@@erickullu Eric appreciate your reply but CB300R I feel is bit overpriced. I am comparing Dominar 2019, Duke 390 and interceptor 650. Also newly launched Gxxr 250 SF.
@@utk251285 For a short height guy like me who is a 5 feet 2 inch the bike is very manageable, due to it's short seat height, and low kerb weight of 144 KG only, the bike is very nimble and easy to ride both in city and highway. All other bike you have mentioned here, like Dominor, Interceptor, Duke 390 have a very high kerb weight, like Dominor, Interceptor body weight is near about 200 kilo weight, so it's not easy to ride in city, another thing after 4500 kilometer, my Honda CB300 is giving me a mileage of 41 kilometer per litre, which is astonishing. The fit, finish, refinement is amazing compared to any other bike, the engine performance is awesome, since it's a CKD unit, the price is justified, and hence the bike's mileage is so high compared to other's and maintenance cost is also low, it will be much cheaper compared to other bikes you have mentioned
Strell brother I m not very comfortable with speed over 120 and dont like below 80 . Should I go for Himalayan or interceptor . Yes I to in delima over the engine between LS and parallel twin , please help us
Don't want to give a thumbs down for this review nor a upthumb because you seem to be focusing too much on the basis attributes of this bike and not much emphasis on riding it hard or breaking hard. Hope yr next video will give a hard yaker experience of owing this bike.
