Hi. My teacher told us to find the x intercep as well as the zeros of the function. But isnt it the same thing? Im really confused. Please correct me. Thanks.

yes the x-intercepts are the zeros of the functions, maybe they meant y-intercept?

Nope. He said the first thing to do to graph a rational function was to find the x and y-intercepts. Second was to find the zeros of the function.

okay well x-intercepts are the zeros, the notation we use to represent each one is sometimes different based on how he has instructed
