@@maryamayub359 well i had the same issue here and tried several ways to solve it by downloading several browsers and it didn't work... but here is the only effective way to download that , open it and save it to your dropbox and install dropbox app to your PC and sync all saved files and it will downloaded automatically ... if id doesn't work , i personally launched dropbox on my cell phone and downloaded it on my mobile first (( using mobile data , and dnt ask why )) but it couldn't be downloaded through WiFi but try it in all ways ... then copy the file from your phone to your PC and it will work properly then .
For those using 2022-2023 versions, you might need to pick Essentials Classic workspace instead of just Essentials. Classic is closer to what you will see in the video.
Is it true?? I need a serious reply since I am thinking about taking design next year in college! If i could learn everything on youtube I will not apply for that in uni just to throw 300000 around when i can learn that for free!
Whoa Cipmunk!!! Just because he learned faster here, that doesnt consider the credit you will receive, or the degree if that is your major! A portfolio will only go so far
Whoa no definitely go into school for it if you wish!! It may be expensive but the degree is worth it. And don't listen to just me, you might do better in a class! And a big piece of advice - don't listen to anyone who tells you a design degree isn't "worth it". It's a big decision, but doing what you love is extremely important. And, youtube tutorials are always good no matter what you do - sometimes we just need another perspective on a subject.
Become an online freelancer and learn from youtube. Post your portfolio on your profile. This is what you will be doing anyway. And companies care about how good your work is not your degree. If you have the money to pay for UNI, use it to start a business and travel the world. Trust me 10 years from now you won't regret.

If you cannot see the main control panel at the top of the screen, try changing to "essentials Classic' mode on the dropdown menu option to the top right of the illustrator window, if it's listen as something else such as 'Essentials ' or 'Web." It didn't show up for me until i selected this view, even after a reset. Might be of use to someone. Thanks for the tutorial!
One thing to add for the more recent version: if you are missing tools- click the ellipses at the bottom of the tools panel, click the three lines at the top of the next panel, change to “advanced” from basic. Common problem with more recent updates. Also- the control panel functions now as the properties panel.

ive been looking for a part time design job recently but found out almost every job requires knowledge of illustrator. ty so much!! i was so lost trying to learn. i cant get over the fact this whole course is free and has actually remained free

Really appreciate the format and organization of this tutorial series, Illustrator's been the one I felt was too alien to tackle for about a year now and I'm finally sitting down, closing After Effects and Photoshop to keep my concentration lol. I'm very grateful someone's made an excellent tutorial that covers everything for beginners yet has professional practice tucked nicely inside.
I subscribed to Adobe AI and PS a year ago and paid for a couple of courses as well elsewhere. They were boring and dragged on. I soon lost interest in them. I tried your course a couple of weeks ago and have to tell you it's by far the best and I have finally begun learning how to use AI. It's the best, well described and it's easy to follow along with. Thank you. I'll go to PS when I'm done with AI.

I have been using corel draw since 14+ years and always wanted to learn illustrator. As whenever I um confronted with an Ai file, I struggle a lot. This tutorial has helped me immensely to understand Ai. Thank you! It is a fantastic and extremely well explained.

If you are using later versions of Ai to exactly follow these videos, choose the Essentials Classic layout instead of the Essentials layout suggested here.

This is perhaps best tool tutorial I've ever seen! It's simple, kick-the-point, interesting and practical! Usually tutors introduce too much of all the icons and functions of the interface which is so boring and hard to focus for novice, but u a different! u did a really really great job!! For people that don't know, it might be useful to tell them that undo is cmd+Z, cntrl+Z on pc or there's always the edit menu up top and select undo from under there
I couldn't open the practice by opening it from the folder, so instead I went to File > Open and selected the practice. Anyway, thank you for this tutorial~ You're awesome!

Its real eductaion & a humble & quality share! I self-taught Photoshop as an aid to my practice and I'm in the position now where I'm forced to tackle some properties and features in Ai. What makes this series better than the torrent of junk is quite simple Honestly titled with a thoughtfull delivery, you have you have avoided falling into brief tutorials that come across as amateur or as sales pitches. I assume I can speak for a few others too when I say thank you for navigating the morallaity of free information.
