This is old school detailing, and that’s what I love about this channel Scott. I learned from someone who didn’t have half the products we use now, but you mix the old with the new with no bull. This is a awesome channel.
Today I Detailed a Mid 2000's Buick Lucerne 4 door off white leather interior. The door panel's were two toned also. Used this method. Used the RV conditioner that can be used for alot of things on the car. It leaves a matte finish on the panel's and dash. Spray on the microfiber towel and wipe on after cleaning. You talked about the RV conditioner it works on alot of surfaces. But don't use it on leather. I clean the leather with coconut milk shampoo and a sponge. In warm distilled water. Wipe dry. Then apply the Mother's VLR and Wieman's leather conditioner. Let it sit for 5 minutes. Wipe the seats dry with a Microfiber towel also. The Wieman's has a lemony smell. It's $4.12 a bottle at Wal-Mart. The Mother's VLR is a great product too. Just something I tried and work's GREAT. Shawn
I have been watching a few diff vids on detailing. I like my car clean so I bought a new vehicle and I find that Scott is the best of the best when it comes to being practical about detailing. He is my go to guy. I have been cleaning my car and once in a while will do someone elses for them. So I have learned so much especially with products.
Always enjoy your videos. When you use your blower to remove dust from the crevices and nooks, it blows dust out. But the dust goes somewhere else. To remedy this, I start with my steam gun and spray. Instead of blowing dust everywhere, the steam cools and liquifies on surface contact. The dust bonds onto the liquid and is easily removed by a microfiber towel. Saves me time, especially when dealing with a “pet hair car” or “smokers (ashes) car”.
Who needs to meditate in the morning ?!,, Just watch and listen to Scott to elevate your vibes 😁 Thank you for this Scott, Just made my day and kept my wallet furnished💙 .
I love how Scott speaks calmly and collected until he puts his hands to work lmao, starts shouting and talking non-stop lol! He seriously is passionate about detailing! I LOVE YOU SCOTT you gave me the confidence to start working for myself!
This video is proof that Scott eats, drinks, breathes, and sleeps auto detailing. I usually always carried a bucket of water around when I used to clean the leather seats of my old Accord. Never occurred to me to add ONR while cleaning the rest of the interior. While I don't have the blower, I can use my Rigid 4070 to blow off the panels. I already use it to blow off my engine when I wash it and works great. Thank you Scott for another great video!
Another golden video! You know I automatically like your videos before I even watch them. That's how confident I am in your teachings. You da man Scott!
Scott thank you so much for sharing this "Awesome" time-saving highly efficient method of doing an interior detail that really gives excellent results! This is a game changer for maximizing your time and profit on an interior detail! This will also give you a great one-two punch on door jambs and seals! I can't wait to rock some interiors with my 3D Orange degreaser diluted 10.1 and Wolfgang Uber rinseless wash! :-)
Nailed it sir! I've been using APC and ONR for my interiors for years. I also wipe down the door jams while I'm at it. Quick and very effective. Happy Memorial Day.
Subbed, was thinking about buying that little blower rather than going through hoops to get a compressior and attachments set up in my Corolla. Maybe down the line, but this sold me on the blower forsure.
Scott, you are like having a best friend in the detailing business! keep it up! Because of you my new Daytona 392 looks gorgeous and will stay that way! clean and protected. one question, is Macguiers quick finish ok to have on the vinyl decals? once again, thanks for all you do! have a great Mem. day weekend!
Scott you're a legend! I already use that little sponge on a stick from the dollar store that you suggested for cleaning around doors/hinges...works great
This is brilliant. You could replace the traditional ONR with the wash&wax version of ONR. That’ll add a minor layer of protection and subtle shine. Works perfect for maintenance cleaning too.
Bilal N I use Carpro echo rinseless wash and this leaves a nice satin look behind. Amazing results on interiors and no need for going over again with dressings.
Nikos Per typically 1-15 (1 part product - 15 part distilled water) for me this product supersedes ONR in every way..... and I actually like ONR too. Echo leaves behind such a nice finish on every surface it comes into contact with, mainly due to the sio2 makeup of the product.
Morning sir from right down I20 in Tyler 🤝. Not sure if you venture off into this area , but figured I'd ask you . Any recommendations or products for refinishing/ resurfacing interior panels ? Like if I wanted paint my interior panels to restore their black color or perhaps change some ? Thanks in advance if you got any ideas you can throw at me
So I have a gallon of mothers professional apc. Debating trying it diluted 10-1 or even 15-1. Although I am a bit concerned due to looking at the sds. Compared to simply green it can cause skin and eye irritation, and has no listed pH... Seems maybe a bit to harsh? Using simply green until I have better knowledge of mothers,at least for my interior and plastics.
Great video ! This is off topic but how is the max shine polisher working out ? I want to get one to see if I have any ability to learn the process. If there was one and only one you would recommend to start out with what would that be ? Lower price would be good if the quality was still there. Please help ??
Scott what do you recomend..... when I deep clean wheels, often the face of the rotor will have that light rusty look...it looks terrible when I present it to the client. I know a less aggressive cleaner will help but then I sacrifice time, especially when dealing with neglected wheels.
Scott, how would you comoare cleaning the interior with just the WATERless wash liquid, as compared to this two step process of APC and RINSEless? I would really appreciate your experienced feedback.
I am overthinking the moment... Are all APCs equal? The only APC I have is Griot’s Interior Cleaner, but I know in the detailing world, it seems like Meguiar’s APC rules. But I have also seen APCs at my local home depot. Just overthinking it.
APC is All Purpose Cleaner. He mentions several by name in the video. I'll leave it to him to add links to the products he recommends. ONR is Optimum No Rinse. I believe he shows the bottle briefly in the video.
Also i want to tell you a story.....BEFORE i start watshing detail videos , and before i starting to fell in love with your channel, i tried to simply clean my car (used 12 years old in very good sape ford fiesta black cheap ninterior)without knowing anythink about cleaning or detailg just simple from common sence i just tooked a new microfober from local market a dump with water and a very light cleaner i found in home and i had FANTaSTIC results......just commin sence and no over think.....of course since i started seen all those videos all came more..complicated!!!!!! Love you have you on our lifes. I also think the secret is to.keep it reguraly clean...and then...as also Darren says you need only....on mf with only water to keep.clean your car. Love you kind reegards Athens Greece
Our new to us Toyota van has a very sticky dressing on it. No clue what it is. Tried "Simply Green" and "Citrus Orange'" little improvement. Suggestions or do I just keep repeating the my process?
Simple Green leaves a slight film. You can really see it when you clean counter tops. I have had good results with removing sticky stuff with rubbing alcohol. Sometimes you have to go over the surface several times, but has always worked for me. Good luck.
hi. ive been following your channel ever since and i want you to know that your style is the most i use when I detail my cars :) one car of mine is parked outside. does the ONR provide “protection” from summer heat?
grey fort If you mean to say protection from UV sun rays, you may want to consider Optimum No Rinse Wash and Wax (green color) as it has some wax in it for extra protection. If you use the Optimum No Rinse Was and Shine (blue color) it leaves some protection behind but you may want to spritz on some type of quick detailer as you dry for extra protection.
Hi there sir... I have recently inflicted this wound on my Frontier and am a beginner to paint correction. I know the completely removed paint will need a pro shop but am looking to lessen my costs by doing all i can myself first... i have a DA and would love some tips about what to do here.... remember i am a beginner wont let me upload pic... tips plz?
Cool. I just picked up a bottle of wolf after watching your other video, so it's a product I have on hand just incase I ever needed to use it this way. :)
Scott i have been trying to find something to clean clothes sets in a Honda the seats are made of the fuzzy type. The side of the seat picks up the blue jean rub cant find anything to get it off. Light color seats. Have any ideas Thanks
I used diluted super clean on my son's Saturn vue. I used distilled water to dilute. Distilled water to rinse. I used a wet n dry to extract. U might want to look into ph neutralizer as a final rinse agent.
Beware of the Costco microfiber towels. They leave yellow fiber fragments everywhere & cannot be washed with any other microfiber towels, otherwise the other towels will get contaminated.
treborg777 never had that issue, perhaps it's how you wash them and maintain them. I never use them on the exterior. But your comment has never been an issue for me so perhaps your doing some differently than me. Thanks for the comment
They were especially terrible cleaning glass. They would leave tiny gold fibers on the glass that in sunlight, would make the glass look like it had become crazed. Washing didn't seem to improve them, and I took them back to Costco for a refund.
Soviet Clutch... Yes sir! Plenty of psi! You can also get a low volume foam cannon if the one you have doesnt put out the foam you are lookin for or you can simply upgrade the fitting on the inside
i recommend the mtm hydro low volume foam cannon #14.0349. around the $55 dollar range but if that's too pricey you can buy the cheapo ones from Amazon and switch out the orifice to 1.1mm. make sure you're getting snow foam and not just regular car soap. I recommend Chemical Guy's honeydew snow foam, only $30 a gallon.
