Neatly done. Very informative. I was not sure why this fanning technique is invented but now I learned that it's for preventing extra drippage of water. And I suppose it's quicker. Reanna is so skillful. Good work!

Great video Luke and Reanna. Another great water management video. Picked up two tips from this one, thanks. I'm an old dog, but still learn'n. Man I LOL-ed about those blinds - brings back so many funny memories. I've damaged sooooo many blinds over the years, but learn't my lessons! Really good advice for newbies. Back'n'tha'day none of this was around, so thank you so much for these free instructional videos. Lifting the game for everyone who watches. Keep it up. Much appreciated. curious why steel wool instead of white scrubby pads also I noticed on the blinds you might want to open them first before pulling them up always goes up easier
@dutchshinewindows484
@dutchshinewindows484 6 лет назад
mcace yes, we are always using steel wool on both sides but I've often thought that to be a waste. For insides, being less dirty, the white scrubby pads work just fine and are reusable. Have you tried the walnut shell scrubby pads? I hear they are just as effective as steel wool.

What is the water solution/cleaner you use?
@itsnotme-jl9jt
@itsnotme-jl9jt 4 года назад
On heavily soiled windows you can't scrape I presoak. Wet the glass and before it dries wet it again with the brush. Much as you presoak pots in the kitchen. It loosens up debris. I also place brush horizontal on glass and use a water bottle to put water on. This controls how much water I have on the brush and there is no dripping.

Great vid Luke. Quick question..how long did it take the both of you to clean that residential? Screens? Inside and out? I am a one man show. I love doing residential, but seems to take me forever. Especially moving furniture and being extremely careful ,tip toeing around doing the clean. A special note, I would love to be able to shoot some videos for my channel, but I am afraid that would add so much time to the clean. I digress.Keep the vids coming.👍

wonder why people like the french pane look. doesn't it just obstruct your view when looking out, as opposed to a single pane of glass? am I missing something? not to mention they are a pain in the rectum to clean (unless they are like the ones in this video)
@exintrovert6803
@exintrovert6803 6 лет назад
I can’t speak for anyone else, but I think the look of smaller panes alters the appearance from outside to match some specific architectural style, without increasing the cost of the window by much. I like the look, because I grew up with single pane aluminum windows and to me they look low-rent. Just my conditioning I guess. As a window cleaner, I am always thankful when the mullions are between panes, for obvious reasons. Mullions that separate actual physical glazed panes into multiple lites are fine for increasing the pane count and thus the quote. But watch out for windows with faux mullions, where it is a single pane with mullions that are built outside the window but are not fully glazed. We have an annual job that has these and the dripping is a royal pita. We have practiced several ways to cope with the water running and collecting behind them, but be sure to bid more time for these. Call it a frustration fee. 😂
