Over the past few years, I have very much enjoyed recording my piano playing at home. For the most part, I have released these recordings on my Facebook Page rather than on RU-vid. However, I thought it would be worth posting a small compilation of some of them here.
For the most part, I was introduced to them through Pianist Magazine's Scores Section and you may be unfamiliar with many of them. However, there are a few extremely well known pieces too. I haven't put them in any particular order.
As you'll see, I have experimented quite a bit with visual approaches over the years. If you're listening with headphones, you'll likely also notice some experimentation with the audio too. I've often said that it is well worth trying to get a 'final' recording when we finish learning something as it gives us something to listen back to if we want to pick the piece up again. This then allows us to pinpoint things that we think we could do better which I think is the vital part of the learning process.
I do have tutorial videos on some of the pieces which I'll link below. For this video, you can navigate between each piece using the following chapter markers:
00:00 Andantino (from 10 Pieces, Op. 24) | Sibelius
02:30 Romance (Op. 10) | Henselt
05:00 Autumn Memories | Wilson G Smith

09:50 Gnossienne No. 3 | Satie
