Intermix from 1992
Written/produced by Bill Leeb, Rhys Fulber
Mixed by Chris Peterson.
This was early days and I read this didn't fit as a FLA, Noise Unit or Delerium (pre-vocals) so they created Intermix.

@@krushedopiates I would love to know where that vocal sample in the middle comes from; but if it doesn't say in the liner notes, I guess we'll never know unless someone asks Bill Leeb and Rhys Fulber--and if they happen to remember. :P

I love that sample; it's got a mystical quality to it. Back in the day (about 1992) and there was a webpage (or UseNET group) that listed all the samples in their songs and their origins. They complained and wanted it taken down. Unless they changed, they aren't going to tell us. Having been musically active at that time, we all sampled a lot then. For my work, that's been published, I don't want people to know their origins either. @@MarysiaKosowski

@@krushedopiates Oh interesting. I love nothing more than hunting down obscure samples in songs, which leads to the discovery of new music for me. It's also the legal thing to do. ;) It's no longer considered appropriate to sample without giving credit--which is why, these days, Rhys Fulber and Bill Leeb fully credit all their samples in their newer albums. I prefer this approach personally. As a Delerium fan, for example, I really like how in the album Nuages du Monde, all of the featured artists get a picture in the booklet and some space in the liner notes to explain what their song is about, what kind of music they sing if it's something obscure in another language, etc. I liked that all of the artists were featured in such a way as to make them full collaborators in the project rather than just impersonal voices pulled from god-knows-where. Now, please don't misconstrue, I am a fan of this kind of music. I've always loved electronica and all kinds of fusion music, so the use of obscure sampling to create a new synthesis of sound is something I admire and celebrate. It's a kind of alchemy; the original sounds are completely transformed and magic happens. So I'm not against the concept at all; I just support legality and giving credit to all artists involved, whether they were present in the studio or not. :) Do you compose electronic music too?

I don't disagree with you, but this is way back and I think it wasn't even illegal until the band De La Soul was sued in the mid/late 90's. To moral side of it is hard to argue but we were music that didn't sell more than 1000 copies at most during that time, and I guess that's how we justified it. Not saying it's right. I did have music on many compilations, and we released two full albums during that time. Based on your previous info you might like: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-jObhK0ZqLhU.html Our music varies WIDELY but it's all based in the electronic/industrial genre. That's how this website started, to post some of tracks. After a few years I got bored and started playlist for my favorite rare electronic/industrial songs and now that playlist is pushing 200 songs and getting a lot of positive feedback. There are 3 playlists on my page - check them out - I bet there are some tracks in there you might like. @@MarysiaKosowski

I only discovered this song (and side project) a few months back cuz I was in the comment section of a Skinny Puppy song Worlock looking for similar sounding songs and someone suggested this. This group needs more attention

Look into early Delerium and Noise Unit - I think all the early stuff would interest you - there is a lot out there @jdcapone1487
