Many disc-brake bikes have front brake hoses/cables that are routed internally through the fork. This makes it impractical to remove the brake caliper and fork while traveling.
The Airport Ninja Bike Travel Case is compatible with these bikes, but the packing process is slightly different from that of conventional rim-brake bikes. This video will show you the steps to pack your disc-brake bike in the Airport Ninja.
For the complete packing process, please refer to our full-length packing video here: • Orucase Airport Ninja ...

Why do you use this bike for a video on “internally-routed” brakes and cables? This bike has an external hose at the front! What would be the appropriate procedure for a bike that has the hoses and cables going though the head tube like a Specialize Tarmac SL7? Also, shouldn’t the fragile top tube not be protected from the handle bar dangling over it like that and the RD removed?

They don't mention it, because it won't work, and they know it. There is nothing I have seen that fits a bike you describe, other than a great big huge cardboard box - short of removing the brakes and rebleeding later.

What's the best way to pack wheels with disc rotors?

The best way would be rotors off, and cassette facing the frame.

The best thing about this case is you get your mechanic’s certification getting your bike pulled apart and packed in. The worst thing is if you’re already not a mechanic it takes four hours to get it to work.

Pros and cons to every case on the market. Many find that after a few packs it only takes 15 minutes.

I have a bike with internal routing for the disc brakes for the fork and the headset. I assume its not possible to use this method. Do you have any recommendations on how to use the case?

Hi Bobby, We have customers using internally routed hydraulic disc bikes. No need to disconnect anything!

@@orucase Can you list out which bike frames and how they were able to remove the fork? The frames I feel like this is not possible for are frames like cannondale system six, new trek madone and other similar frames where the hydraulic front brake cable goes from the handlebars through the stem and then down the head tube (with the cable being inside the material throughout) and then finally being exposed as it comes out of the fork into the disc brake. I am not sure how this is possible unless there is a lot of hydraulic front brake cable inside the fork (and maybe other cables as well). Please let me know of any tips and advice to accommodate those types of frames.

@@bobbymorales7683 Too many to list. We have 1000's of customers using our cases with internally routed hydraulic disc bikes. What are you riding?

Orucase I have the current trek Madone SLR (from 2018/2019). Let me know what your advice is and thanks in advance!

I see you left the headset bearings on the frame. I hope this was just for this demo. Haha. Those bearings won’t stay there... they’ll fall out. Best to remove them and slide them onto the steerer with the rest of the pieces.
